caldera spa tripping gfi breaker

Hello, I have a caldera spa, hawaiian model. Last winter I ended up having to drain it and winterize it early on due to a problem. The spa would work fine for about a day or two, but it would then trip the gfi breaker. I'm not really sure why, but I would like to try to figure out the problem. Every time the break would trip, the heating element would stop working and the circulation lines would freeze. Defrosting the circulation line and resetting the gfi fixed the issue until it would trip again. Any ideas?

Still having this problem, I replaced the heating element thinking that was possibly the problem but its still periodically tripping the breaker. Everything works fine with it except for it throwing the breaker, not really to sure whats going on, but really need to get it figured out.

On a side note when the breaker is tripping its shutting down everything including the circulation pump and heater, i thought they were set up so the heater and circulation pump was on a separate breaker.
