spazzup
16 X 32 inground pool with sand filter. Live in Southern Ontario. Pool has been open for 1 month without issue until now. Algae bloomed so I use algaecide. Got milky so I used FLOC. Got worse. had to bring pH up to above 7.8 for FLOC. Free Cl was low so super shocked and still milky with a fine powder that will settle after a very long time. The only reason I know this is that I collected some in a glass to troubleshoot. I added a teaspoon of vinegar and all went away. Here are my test results: FC:15 TC: 20 CC: 6 pH 7.5 Hardness: 180 Alkalinity: 132 CYA: 63 Cu: 0.2 Fe: 0 PO: 0 filter has been recently cleaned and been running 24/7. Nothing. Any ideas
kanilure@gmail.com
Sounds like you have created a precipitate. You need a chemist! What was the algaecide? Was it Copper Sulfate?
