JosephCan1 Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Hello all, We have a fiberglass swimming pool in our home, which was constructed 3 years ago. I used to maintain my pool regularly. But last month I had to go out of state to attend a meeting and my wife went to see her sick mom. So our pool was left unattended for an extended period. Last week we returned home and noticed that our pool had algae formation and each day it is getting worse. We tried brushing the pool on the first day, but it didn't help us. How shall we get rid of this algae?? Our pool is turning green and it is really awkward. I found few tips online to get rid of algae in the pool. It says to use Algaecides to get rid of pool algae. Which is the best Algaecide that I can use in my fiberglass pool? We'll be also trying to shock the pool today. If anyone here knows any other technique which is very effective in getting rid of green algae, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Quote
