A Bottle Of Bubbles In The Hot Tub! Help!

We are staying at a friends house. My daughter innocently dumped in a bottle of bubbles, you know the kind that kids blow bubbles with?

I don't know much about hot tubs but I do know that the bubble solution should not have been put into it. How can I clean and if necessary repair the hot tub before I leave?

I should say that my friends are not around. They are allowing us to stay at their place during their vacation. While they will be understanding, I would rather have the problem fixed before they return.

Please help!

You can prevent the bubbles from occurring by adding calcium increaser. Since you are new to tubs, get the kind that is already in a liquid state. You can add 3-4 bottles of it with no harm to the tub.

It's either that, or drain and refill the tub, which, if not done properly can lead to mechanical issues.

Calcium will not harm the tub in any way. If you use dry calcium, pre-dissolve it in a Pyrex container as it creates a lot of heat as it dissolves.

Target 120-150 ppm as your Calcium Hardness (CH) level. If you go too high with calcium, then if the pH or TA get high you can get calcium carbonate scaling.
