mauimike
Hauled my year-2000 Hot Springs Jetsetter from Houston to Maui 2 years ago and it's been working fine until I got back from vacation this week. The "Clean" light is on and "Ready" light is off. Drained tub, cleaned filters, turned it back on. The water heated back up, the jets and bubblers all work fine, the low and high-volume pumps are both working, but "Clean" light is still lit and "Ready" light is still off. I replaced controller panel and face panels two years ago, so I hope those aren't problem. Another problem - no leaks, but pieces of thin (much thinner than sched40), PVC pipe fragments showed up in tub in last couple of weeks. Nothing is visibly broken, but wondering if from something internal and related to "Clean" light problem that's just appeared.
Hot Spring Official
The control head has problems most likely the ready light has failed and the clean LED is locked. Leaving the control that way will not hurt the components and it would be an expensive fix. I would guess that the "fragments" are calcium leaching from the system. Find a local spa company and ask for a product designed to prevent scale formation in spas, it is not related to the clean LED.
mauimike
Awesome. If another "fragment" pops up, I'll test w/ acid to see if it's calcium. If it's PVC, it shouldn't react. Thanks! I've enjoyed this spa for 14 years. No Hot Springs dealer on Maui, so not looking forward to day I have to replace it....
