wastedthelight
Good morning! My Sundance Optima 850 has the FLO error and the circulation pump is not running. If the flow switch is bad, will this keep the circulation pump from running? Or is it for sure the circulation pump? (well...unless it's a control board issue I suppose) The flow switch does have a little debris on it which made me suspect it, but if the $50 part is causing the issue, that's better than the $200 part! haha! Thanks!
wastedthelight
With the circulation pump not working, it is okay to leave the spa on so it does it's 4x a day run times to help keep the water clean? Any harm in this?
Dr. Spa
When the circulation pump come on it activates the flow switch. If the circulation pump isn't turning on, the flow switch wont activate.
snyderdarc
my tech said it was my circuit board ($800) the next day, it did the same thing. so obviously it was not the circuit board. I made him leave the old one, but now want someone (other than them) to test it, but don't know where to have that done.
Spa_Guru
Your tech must be a moron, a voltage test to the pump would either show voltage to the pump or not and differentiate between the two.
