Looony2nz
Can anyone suggest a company that makes an affordable pool cover that I would only be using to cover / protect my pool during a storm / hurricane to prevent debris from falling in. We are in FL and the pool would be open all year, so this would be something I would put on and take off periodically June through November. thanks for any suggestions. Sunbuilt Pools
There are many companies that offer safety covers that attach to anchors in the deck (Vynall, Plastimayd, kafko). These are relatively inexpensive compared to automatic covers but more then winter covers. However, this type I believe are the only ones that will suit your needs (Hurricanes). There are several reasons, one they are made of mesh so water and wind passes through while debris does not. Therefore the heavy rains and wind wont dislodge the cover. Second they are anchored to the concrete deck and tensioned down so they are more likely to withstand falling objects. This I believe is your best option, shop price and look at one with quality fasteners. Cost will depend on pool size and shape, but installed you should expect approx. 2K.
