Guest Tim
Powder coated Aluminum is better than steel. On average, a steel pool will last you 5 to 10 years. Aluminum pools such as Ester WIlliams are warrientied for 40 years. Steel pools will have a warrenty for 5 years.
hottub.pool_boy
they're all good. stick with buying a pool from the guy who makes you feel the most comfortable. he'll back whatever he/she sells for years.
DKN1997
Which is better for the walls of a pool? Thanks for any help!! if the hole is prepped properly and your finished patio allows water to drain away from the pool, then steel is just fine. No way steel lasts only 5 years!!! There are plywood wall pools 30+ years old still holding up (barely, though) if you want it to really last forever, go with concrete walls. they don't go anywhere. use a good foam behind the liner because the concrete can "snot" a bit and possibly puncture the liner from behind. Concur, provided ground water conditions (when they exist) are taken care of, a steel pool will go on and on! Plus, they are unlimited in shape and inside step bench considerations. Go with a dealer you trust, that is key!
