tommy1 Posted September 19, 2012 Report Share Posted September 19, 2012 went to start heater today and will not light.here is what happens..... press button for pool heat and fan starts strong...hot surface ignighter starts to heat up,fan goes to low speed ignighter glows red.can hear gas valve open for a few seconds then shuts off.does that 3 times then triggures air flow sw and ags code on display screen.the ignition box blnks 3 times as for ignition lock out..if any one can help me with this issue i would be gratefull..not sure why i am getting air flow code when fan seems to work like it should.. thanks TOMMY Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bugman1400 Posted September 25, 2012 Report Share Posted September 25, 2012 Sounds like a proper sequence to me. Do you smell any gas? If not, then you have a gas supply problem. Either your gas pressure is too high or too low so, check your regulator next to your unit. The other problem could be the gas valve but, if you hear the click then the gas valve should be okay.
