fibercoug
I just purchased a used Hot Springs Grandee that I am going to put on my ground level cedar deck. I wonder about putting the tub directly on the deck or whether there should be some type of barrier between the tub and the cedar. Any suggestions? Chas
If you put it directly on the deck it will mark it up. You will always see the place where the tub was. That's not a big deal if you plan on owning the tub for a long time: you may need to replace the deck before it becomes an issue.
fibercoug
I plan on keeping a tub there for a long time. My concern is with the decking rotting out quickly. Outside of using a water seal product (Thompson's) I was wondering if any other material should be put down.
Dnepr Dave
Spas are really heavy, how stong is your deck? Dave
fibercoug
Very strong. It is well over built.
