aasteph31
We bought a used hot tub, the heater was not working. We replaced with OEM new parts. Heater, circ pump, Hi-limit, control limit and heater relays. Still no heat. It is equipped with a iq 2000. Both the green light for the hi limit and the red light for the heater are lit up and solid. Filters have been clean. I thought we had replaced everything that deals with the heater. What should we trouble shoot next? Thanks, Angie
Chas
Replacing parts is not the way to troubleshoot this. Do you have a meter? A VOM of some sort?
Dan.The.Spa.Man
If you have replaced all of that stuff there is not much left. I would look towards the 18 volt relay that powers the heater.
aasteph31
Sub-panels, our last hot tub did not need them. Reading through the forum post I found were hot springs will not operate without the sub panels. We could tell the heater needed replaced the end piece was broken. The way it is wired without the sub panels no current is going to the heater just the pumps. Thanks for your help!
aasteph31
Okay, we got the sub panels required and installed. Everything on the 20 amp breaker works fine. When we flip the 30 amp a loud noise from the heater relays. What would cause this to happen?
