robin4747
I drained my LA spa in Dec 2011 in New York (cold winter) I am now doing my spring cleaning of the entire tub. I did leave the cover on all winter and there was about 4 inches of water on the bottom of the tub all winter. There is no mold on the cover but I have a white haze on some parts of the walls. I looked up biofilm but it does not fit since the tub is empty for 5 months. I tried a heavy duty steamer, various cleaning products but it just comes back. It is a very fine film, not gummy, just sort of like a haze. Any home products I can try to remove it?
PreservedSwine
Try a little vinegar, and some elbow grease. Be sure to adjust your PH if the spa is full of water after you're finished, as the vinegar is pretty acidic.
robin4747
Tub is empty right now so I will try it tomorrow, what causes this?
jeffinpickering
Could try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser too.
robin4747
Like the Mr. Clean idea will try both and know it will come off, my LA Spa tech said it was calcium build up on the walls and to try the vinegar, thanks again
