Am I Paying Too Much For A Used Hot Tub?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a good used hot tub that's not too expensive but not so cheap that it will be a hole in the pocket. I found someone local selling a 2004 Sundance Altimar spa and they listed it for $1500. It comes with a cover and is in good working condition. Is that a good price? Anything to be cautious of?

That is indeed a good price, very cheap, in fact. You just have to keep in mind that it no longer has a warranty, and you may not be able to upgrade it. Heard that you won't have any problems adjusting the strength of the jets in that model. It's best for hydrotherapy, I guess.

If you see it up to temp and working and it looks "clean" then that price is fine. If it has problems then that’s another story. They all come with a cover, the key is how much life the cover has left in it. Its all about the condition.
