WuhWuzzat Posted December 16, 2011 Report Share Posted December 16, 2011 I'll preface this by saying I'm not familiar with the D1 Nautilus, but if it's similar to other tubs from the major manufacturers it most likey has a (1) single speed and (1) dual speed jet pump. The 50 amp configuration will allow you to operate both pumps at the same time, but WITHOUT the heater. The 60 amp will allow you run everything simultaneously. Just out of curiosity, if everything works on the 50 amp configuration, what's the advantage of installing the 60 amp configuration? Even Further Posted January 22, 2012 Report Share Posted January 22, 2012 I've got an older Coast and it has 2 big pumps. And, the lights, both pumps, heater can all run at once. THE SPA GUY Posted January 23, 2012 Report Share Posted January 23, 2012 There is no reason to go with the 60 amp service, there are many spas that can run off the 50 amp, but there are also spas that require the 60 amp for everything to work, and there are also spas that will not run everything .
