Trigger Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Whats brands does Watkins Make? Hotsprings Caldera Tiger River Hot spot Solana If you go to the hotsprings home page and click on the "Spa Selector" tab, a new window opens that shows the different models amongst these lines. http://www.hotspring.com/index_spas_hot_spring.html They don't list the Caldera line though. I wonder why? Quote

Dr. Spa Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Dont they make Cal Spas to? Cal Spas makes Cal Spas.... no relationship to Watkins Quote
Trigger Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Right. Calspas, aren't they also part of a much larger corporation? Cal Flames (makes grills) and maybe another CalXXXX company that sells outdoor furniture? Quote
spatech (the unreal one) Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 They don't list the Caldera line though. I wonder why? Watkins makes Hot Spring as the premium line with Tiger River, Hot Spot and Solanas their secondary lines (value lines or whatever you want to say). The Hot Springs dealers will typically carry all these brands. Caldera is a separate premium spa line made by Watkins but it has it's own dealer network, completely separate from the Hot Springs dealers, and thus it's own separate website much in the same way that Sundance and Jacuzzi are separate entities that compete againast each other with consumers but are made by the same manufacturer. The Rep network are intertwined within the corporation which makes it a little sketchy but on the other hand it definately puts good minds working together to make a better product. If I chose to sell Caldera I will have the same rep as Jack down the block that sells Hot Springs. Quote
