ClassicCars
I have a Goldline (Hayward) Aqua Plus control panel model PL-PLUS. The little round green LED's indicator lights are very dim. These LED's are on the front panel and let the user know if the "Heater, Option Valve, Check System, and Service" are on. These lights are very dim and are very hard to read even in the shade. (No sunlight) Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, is it in the display panel, (Part number: GLX-PL-LOC-P-4) or in the main PCB with the power supply? Is there anything I should check or repair? Thanks Ken
txpoolguy
How old is your system? It's not uncommon to get "fading" LEDs if the door to the control box is left open & the LEDs get exposed to sunlight on a regular basis. The lights don't actually dim, but the plastic bulb gets cloudy from UV exposure. I've never seen one where they just dim as you describe. ClassicCars
The control panel is only a few years old. The door is always closed. I can see where the UV being a problem, but not in this case. Thanks
