Swim Spa Not Decreasing Temp During Economy

Hi everyone,

We have a Maax Spa (Australia) dual zone swim spa, also heated by two gas units, and even when we set the economy mode to commence at say 10.00pm and finish at 10.00am in the morning, the temperature doesn't seem to change all night and in fact I still hear the low speed pumps kick in after 10.00pm, which I'm assuming is to maintain the temperature - so it doesn't feel right to me.

Is there something that I'm missing? According to the reference material, when the unit is in economy mode the temp of the spa &/or pool should decrease by up to 11 deg celcius, but this doesn't happen. I have two reasons to run it like this. Firstly it should help reduce heating costs, plus when it's say 1.00am or 3.00am in the morning and the pumps start running, it is very noisy and I'm concerned that it will be annoying my neighbours as they're house is very close to the spa unit...

I have set both the pool and the spa end to start economy at exactly the same time, but neither seem to be making much of a difference...

Any assistance would be great..!

Thanks...

The Economy setting may be working correctly, it sounds to me that it's possibly your filtration kicking in. Have you checked the filtration settings.
