I have a new fiberglass pool less than 1 year old. Last week I noticed that there are some hollow spaces under the fiberglass liner in both the deep and shallow end. This can be determined by tapping on the fiberglass as well as a slight give when I stand on it.

I'm waiting for a phonecall from from the dealer/installer about this.

My fear is that these dead spaces are in the "not a good thing" category and that the liner will have to come out.

Any recommendations are welcome folks. I want to be prepared when I speak to the pool company.

thanks

John

We had our Fiberglass pool installed on 6/1/05 and shortly there after noticed the same thing. On October 12, 2005 the pool popped out of the ground and now POOL DESIGN of NJ doesn't want to take care of the problem. They said it was our fault!?!? We believe it's because of the bad installation and improper backfilling of the pool, which allowed water to run under the pool and all around it......
