BethC
We bought a used pool, took it down and put it up in our yard. We just put the liner in tonite. It was a replacement, beaded liner. Our problem is, it is not tight up against the sides of the pool At some points, there is a good foot where it is pulled away from the bottom, side of the pool. Looks like it will stretch too much when water is added. we are afraid of a seam ripping once it's filled. So my question is, is it normal for the liner to not be tight up against the sides of the pool and need to stretch a lot during filling in order for it to be tight up agasint the walls? brian1973
it should have some stretch but not that much did you square the pool?is it the correct size?what brand of liner?where are u living in what state?it could be you dont have a enough sand in the bottom it would also cause this>did you put a cove in?being that tight could split a seam in the liner or buckle the pool wall in ruining it if you have any questions let me know brian
BethC
Thanks for your response. We aren't sure what brand liner it is. Since we bought it used. As far as I know the pool is square. We actually have more sand in the bottom than the guy who previously had the pool. He only had about an inch above the straps, we have 3 or 4. Yes, we put in a cove. And we are in PA. Thing is, the guy who owned the pool before us used this liner, so I'm not sure what to think. If it worked for him, will it work for us? Do I want to chance it. Anyway, here is a quick picture. I'm not sure you will be able to tell how far from the walls the actual liner is in some places. We can push in gently and get the liner to the walls, just not sure it's supposed to stretch that much.
