bard
i have 4000 to spend on a tub. i live near edmonton ab, canada. i have found a good looking used arctic spa yukon that is 6 years old. also some good deals on new coastspa's. both for around 4000. i want a tub that will be energy effient since it gets very cold here in the winter. needs to be at least 6 seats but jets and other bells and whistles are not high up on my list. which route should i go? any other tubs in that range i should look at(new or used)? I dunno if I would spend 4k unless it is fully loaded. Would you be interested in financing? I know a lot of good brands have tubs around 5-6k

I think $4k is high for a 6 year old Yukon though you could always check it out and maybe its negotiable. If you have $4k to spend on a used tub be patient; regularly check Craigslist and other types of places where used spas are listed and eventually you'll come accross the right spa for you. NEVER buy a used spa without seeing it fully operational.

DK117
I'd love to jump in with a plug for Strong via Costco.com, but even those are $5K. Take a look at the site, you might be surprised. DK117

That is a good point, especially since some of the cheaper spas out there are not very energy efficent and can add $80, 90, $100+/month to your energy bill if you're not careful. If you can't find a good used spa (though they are out there if you're patient) put could always away the $$ you might be paying monthly to run a lesser spa and eventually you'll have enough to be able to get something better. hottubdan
If you are going to buy used, look at Hot Spring, Sundance, D1... Should be able to do well for $4K.

funstar
I just got stuck with a hot tub that I think was made by Gulf Coast Spas and they are now calling the spa Pinnacle Spa. It looks like a label was took off the spa and a new one was placed on it to make you think it was made by this new company.I am not knowing now what to to because the dealer has my money and I have a hot tub now that has issues......So be careful look closely about the place you buy your hot tub.. david_bilton
is gulf coast spas the same company as coast spas? i was looking at coast spas. you may want to rethink on that coast spa is some what like master spa there are a lot better spa's out in the world check out sundance/jacuzzi, beachcommer, forthat matter even costco carry better spa's than coast spa dont fall for the smoke and mirrors that they push and the vf 5hp they push is only a 4hp and do you notice how the new panels on the 2010 spa's look a lot like ford f-150 tailgate's
