Fns Plus Pool Filter... How To Clean? Also One Other Question...

I have a Pentair FNS Plus system with a tank clamp. How do I loosen the tank clamp and open the top off so I can rinse off the filter cartridges?

Also the water coming out of my pool (recirculation) is very low pressure, sometimes non-existent when running. Could this also be caused by dirty filters and a high filter pressure?

Thanks.

Low pressure should be related to the filter. My FNS just has two tension bolts around the center of the tank - loosent those bolts and you should be fine.

Make sure you release the pressure valve first to get the PSI down - you'll hear it leaving the system and you can easily tell when it's done.

yah renewed dont take this wrong but i think you should hire a qualified pool man to clean your filter and watch him do it and take notes if you really want to do it yourself . pool men have been killed by tank lids blowing off and hitting them so i cant recommend a homeowner try it without training

Thanks. The manufacturer emailed me back today with instructions. And yes, I know to relieve pressure in the tank by allowing air to enter and displace the pressure. Thanks for the warning though!

I will report back and tell you if I figured it out and if cleaning the filter helped the pressure. Thanks for the replies.
