SpaParty
Very interesting indeed. Why would dealers do this ? It taints all of us trying to sell our products.
spatech (the unreal one)
Very interesting indeed. Why would dealers do this ? I taints all of us trying to sell our products. I have never seen a spa website that didn't play up how well insulated their spa is and this kind of tool they were using is the same as the website presentation. Without commenting on Dynasty, some spas have a history of being well insulated; others have a good story to make it sound like they'll be well insulated. THE SPA GUY
Its amazing the things you find about companies, and how the market themselves....whats even amazing is how the companies figure out ways to hang around....
PFC5
Here is the latest on this dated 1/17/11 saying they also got hit with a $130,000.00 fine/penalty: http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/eng/03342.html
SpaParty
They also have to post this information on their web site within 7 days. http://www.ecosmartspas.ca/ Wonder how this affects consumers trust in retailers ? Back in July 2010 CBC News Edmonton also carried this story http://www.cbc.ca/canada/edmonton/story/2010/07/30/con-spa-claims.html
THE SPA GUY
Spaparty, thats good info. I took a look at it... I see it at the bottom. I think as a consumer going to the site if you were not looking specifally for this you would not see that print near the bottom, but as i saw that , right above it in the picture pops up"The Worlds Most Efficient Spa"
Poolman18
I saw it also. They sure tried to hide it with the rest of the headers in the bottom. Not that I can blame them for doing this , but it does deserve then right for BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. I am sure that there are some respectable Dynasty dealers that will pay the brunt of this bad publicity. They( Dynasty) are displaying in Atlantic City this coming week at an Industry show , so we will see what the word on the street is. ! I did ask the question to a rep and his response was " that he had no clue what I was talking about " He would find out and let me know. Clueless for sure !
