My problem is that when ever it rains the current pool shell gets some water in. If we go ahead with a liner installation will my liner get lumps from the incoming water? Or since the water pressure in the pool is greater from the outside water pressure, will not allow the rain water to come in? If there is more water in the ground than in the pool, the liner will float (wrinkles). If you are talking lots of water - for instance, deep end of pool filled with water while digging, you can overdig depth, put 1 ft. gravel in bottom, along with a jig and pump, then mud the bottom and install liner. Regards George this happens on new builds and liner replacements. make sure it dry when the liner in installed and the after the pool is filled the weight of the water will keep it in place.
