rdefino Posted January 25, 2010 Report Share Posted January 25, 2010 I have Spa gaurd Chlorinating Concentrate that I use in my spa. Is the MPS different? Should I b using MPS? If so when? MPS is a non-chlorine shock for occasional (weekly) use that does not cause the rising levels of CYA, which as it rises binds the free chlorine and makes it more difficult for the chlorine to sanitize. chem geek Posted January 25, 2010 Report Share Posted January 25, 2010 Note that MPS alone is not approved as an EPA sanitizer. It is the combination of Nature2 with its silver ions and MPS together that is approved.
