Guest Dianne
We are currently using well water that has tested high for iron and is extremely hard. The biggest problem we have is water turning brown when we add bleach, oxyclean or heat it. We are trying different whole house filters, but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas? Guest Suncrest
You might want to try the Spa Pre-Filter from spafriendly.com. It has worked great for me and they will e-mail you the facts/test sheet on the filter if you want. It makes filling your tub alot easier! Guest Sally
You need to treat for the iron problem BEFORE adding any chlorine. Take a water sample to your pool dealer and get some Stain and Scale Preventer (Metal Out). Follow manufacturers recommendatiions.
Guest Nora
we also have well water with high iron and shocked the pool in which it turned brown. We used a strain remover and metal out and it is almost gone. Good luck
