Guest Dave Posted September 23, 2005 Report Share Posted September 23, 2005 I may have put this in the wrong place..sorry. I have hard water and just installed a new Jacuzzi tub. The water looks fine when it's filling..however..once you turn on the jets we start getting a rusty looking ring around the water line. Guest Don Posted September 23, 2005 Report Share Posted September 23, 2005 first off, hard water is better than soft water. idealy around 400 ppm. secondly, its more to do whith what chems. you are using or not using. if you dont treat the water right away with sanitizers and oxidizers like chlorine or bromine youre gonna get that ring, if you use a "biguinide" chemical system, that ring is something you need to address on a regular basis. if youre not treating the water at all, the spa is not safe to use and stay out.
