utah
Hi, Thanks for all the feedback on narrowing the field for a good hot tub for my family. The answers to my previous post have been a huge help. A "friend of a friend" heard I was looking for a hot tub and has asked if I would like to buy hers. It is a Hot Springs Vista with every option except the audio. She says she paid $12,000 a year ago. Includes cover, lift, lumilights, 47 jets, etc. She wants $7,500. She recently got divorced, sold her house and it is now sitting in storage at a local dealer. From previous posts, I've heard the used market is close to 50% of the new price. Does this sound correct? Also, would her warranty cover me? She bought it a year ago. Thanks for your thoughts. Doug
Guzz
$12k for a 05 vista sounds a little high, but if the spa is in excellant condition I'd offer her 7000, the warranty is not transferable.
deestruhart
Hot Spring Vista retail at around $10,900.00. The warranty will not transfer to second buyers. great tub by the way. I wouldn't pay no more tham $6,500.00. Good Luck
hottub.pool_boy
As little as possible. No warranty doesn't transfer. We just moved a '02 Landmark (early Vista) for a guy who picked it up for $2,500.00. It's toobad I missed it. Iwould have polished it up and sold it for $4,000. new cover chems, delivered, subpanel
Tyler
Yes, the warrantee will not transfer. I would offer her around $5,500 or so. The Vista is nice spa but for $7500 I would buy a new one with a full warrantee.

I agree. Why pay $7500 for a used spa when you can get a good new one for just a little more. You can get A D1 Nautilus for 9K for God's sake.
