jtomanelli
Hi, I was thinking of storing the liner for my 18' x 48" steel frame easy-set pool in a plastic drum for the winter. Of course the drum would be in a warm area, but I was thinking of putting all the brittle plastic "stuff" in there as well as the liner and filling it with clorinated water. Has anyone ever heard of or tried this? Any thoughts?
terrie
I don't think you need to be that drastic. When i had a frame pool I used a shop vac to get all the water out and then dried it further with towels. I folded it and stored it in the garage till the next season. spacewalker
Yeah, I wouldn't go through all that just for winter storage. A shop Vac and towels or I use a mop myself to get some extra grit and trash out. The plastic drum dont sound too bad if you have pest that might chew on the vinyl. But, if its not completly dry or if moisture gets in the drum it could be very bad.
