griffe Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 Hey guys, I have about two days to make a decision on a spa or we will not have one in time for our deck completion. I am currently looking at Vita and Sundance but I am open to other brands. My problem is that I live in a small place where the only real dealers are 2 hours away and they don't stock Vita!. I am looking at the Vita Essence or Vita Nuage (deepening on if I am a floater) and the Sundance Bahia and Sundance Palermo (again depending if I am a floater). I believe I have found a pretty good dealer which stocks some spas and will let me wet test but they only have the Sundances mentioned above, they do have a Vita but it is an older model, not the one I am looking at. My budget is about $6500, I can get either sundance for that and can get the Vita Essence for about $6999 (but I think I can get it down). By the way the prices above include delivery. My biggest worry is reliability in the long run. I want something that will last, is high quality, with a manufacturer that honors their warranty, and parts in the future are not too expensive. The sales man says when it comes to reliability and quality Sundance is the best way to go but Vita is not far behind. Help me out, Thanx in advance! Quote

Both of those brands should give you years of worry free operation. It seems you have a comfort issue with the tub and with the dealer that has to be decided to decide what brand. Quote

Well the Sundance is very comfortable but I have not been able to sit in the Vita, wet or dry. I also heard that Sundance parts are very expensive, is this true? Quote
mitzey Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 The best deals are on costco.com. Anything but from the company Aqua Rec is ok. There response time is days and days for any help you need. Stay away from them. They drive you crazy. Also they take your money with no customer service provided. Good luck. Mitzey Quote

I also heard that Sundance parts are very expensive, is this true? Sundance uses proprietary parts this is true. I have found it easier and easier to get them and have found them to be comparable to most other high end parts. Quote
mjs Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 I compared Sundance and Vita (and other brands) nearly two years ago. Both seemed very good, but I went with a VitaSpa's Nuage. I've been very happy ever since. Quote
griffe Posted July 6, 2006 Author Report Posted July 6, 2006 Today I went and wet tested a Sundance Bahia ($6000) which I loved, and on friday I am going to wet test a Sundance Ultima ($7900). The prices are with shipping, installation, start up kit, and a seminar. What do you guys think? I was looking at the Vita essence for $7000 but I think I am going to go with the Sundance. Please voice your opinions! MJS, Have you had any problems with you Vita?? Quote
