  1. Pump needs replacing.. everything I read about variable pumps say "pool" in the descriptions. Are variable pumps used for spas?
  2. Hi all. I have just switched to a Hayward Variable speed pump and I am confused about the different speeds I can use. There are three possible speed settings: V3, V2 and V1. The default setting goes from V3 to V1, by-passing V2. However, when I configure my intended custom speeds, it also bypasses V2. I wanted to start medium, pump faster in the afternoon, and then slower in the evening into night. But after the set time for V3 it goes directly to V1. Was it never intended to use all three speeds? And if can't be used in custom configuration, what is the point of having the third speed and the ability to time how long it runs for? Thanks!
