  1. First time writing on this site, Typically I can find the answer just reading other comments, but I've searched. Thank you for any help! Spa: 2017 Caldera Vacanza Vanto - This model has no circulation pump, jet 1 controls general heating Error code- 5 double dash line when on jet 1 (1 push)- Jet 1 has 2 push settings Issue: When on jet 1, first setting, I get no filter suction and the error code comes up and so heat doesn't work. The jet turns on even on setting 1, just not filter suction I can heat the tub if I put it on Jet 2, but this jet will shut off after 1hr and then it goes back to same issue and won't heat the tub, plus there is no filtering action in general. Both fuses work Jet 1 and Jet 2 both work I've run it without the filter in and I still get the same problem I've taken flow sensor off and clean leads- (I don't think it could be flow sensor because it's working just not on jet 1 first sensor), is this right? I don't think it could be an airlock because both jets work, but maybe? Perhaps a clogged line below filter housing? If so, any suggestions on how I'd remove? THANK YOU!! Any help would be appreciated. I live in a mountain town and hot tub repair guys are so expensive. Jeff
  2. Hi. hope someone here can help. I have a jacuzzi bath(Conforto 1800). The water flll sensor is broken and I can’t find a replacement without buying a new control box. Jacuzzi also say the bath is obsolete. dirs anybody know if it is possible to buy a water fill sensor that is not from jacuzzi and use the existing wiring and control box??? thanks very very much
  3. I'm having an OHH code on my beachcomber hot tub I just replaced the smaller pump as the last one burned out. I filled from the filter housing, opened the bleed screw and drained all the air through there, everything seemed okay last night but when I checked it this morning it was still cold and there was a SNB code I pulled the sensor out (lots of water no air) and also unplugged it and sprayed with electrical contact cleaner Now instead of a SNB code I'm getting the OHH as soon as I turn on the breaker even if it has sat for a few minutes I also tried unplugging the b sensor and there was still an OHH code right away. Maybe needed more time to reset though ? Hoping it's not a circuit board. Don't really wanna keep throwing parts at it. Everything was working fine before the pump burnt out Any help appreciated ! Thanks!
  4. I have a 2003 Catalina spa. After a power outage, the spa keeps giving the OHH error code. When I flip the breaker, wait a few minutes, then flip on, the spa goes into prime mode, but within a few minutes throws the OHH code again and shuts down. The water is cool, so I know it's not truly overheating. I have replaced the M7 sensors as that was the first issue after power was restored. I found that one of the sensors had gone out. I've checked the flow and it is good. Another article I read here mentions a diode being bad on the circuit board. How do I locate and repair this diode? Thanks in advance for any help!!
  5. I have a 2000 Sweetwater Palermo spa. The water temperature is 3 degrees lower than the digital readout on the display on my control panel. (the temperature from a thermometer of the water reads 97 degrees but the display reads 100). I have a new heater, new filter and recently changed the water. I've had this spa since 2000 and am very familiar with how it heats and this is really not normal for the spa. Any clues what the issue might be? Sensor, topside control panel, etc.? Thanks.
  6. My J385 is stuck in watch dog mode. No noise nothing. I tested the temp sensor and Hi Lo sensor and they both seemed bad. I have replaced both and still nothing. If i disconnect the (J6) sensor plug from the circuit board and power up i get the relevant set of error codes as though all the sensors are missing. Tested the new sensors and they seem fine, i must be missing something. Rest of the circuit board seems fine, no bulging caps, no burnt out components. Any help greatly appreciated, may also be worth mentioning the flo sensor was replaced a few months ago.
  7. I recently purchased a Superior Spa hot tub used. Before buying everything worked as it should. Temp was around 98 when I went to look at it. Once hot tub was relocated, and filled, the heat would not get above 77 degrees when the temp was set at 95. I have turned the temp up to 105 and it won’t go above 81 degrees. I did some research and found it could be a possible flow restriction from the filter or a clogged pipe. I’ve also read to use a multimeter to check voltage at the heater terminals. I do do not have a manual for this tub and after looking on google it seems the company is out of the UK and for some reason no info will load on their website. Questions: Does anyone have any info on where I can obtain specific information on my model of hot tub? Get a manual? Had anyone had a similar issue as I, to help troubleshoot my problem? Thanks for reading.
  8. I have a client who was getting a 170 code, upon inspection of sensor, chose to replace it. He cleaned the cell as well and says it looks great. We've tried resetting the unit, it will go away then slowly return Any Ideas?
  9. I need some help trouble shooting this error message on my Jandy Heater!!!!! "Shorted H20 Sensor" I have replaced the Water Sensor which is in the pipe between the filter and the heater - (thinking this was what the error was regarding, I should have known better) Is there a sensor actually inside the unit which I can replace? Or could this be a board problem...... Heater is 3 years old..... Jandy LRZ 400ep
  10. I have acquired a Jacuzzi spa, and I am experiencing some problems. It is a z145/345, 240000. It has a Balboa board R574 with a 4kw heating element. It was wired for 115v, and I field converted it to 230v system, following instructions labeled on the inside cover of the control unit. I installed it using a 50w GFCI dedicated circuit breaker, with a 60 amp rated disconnect outside. All things are wired correctly. Pump works correctly, topside controls work correctly, and I heat very well. The problem I have is overheating of the water. The high limit sensor worked, because when it hit 112 degrees, power was shut off to the whole unit. I have tested the power output to the heater, and it is always on, even after reaching set point. When the water reaches the set point, the LED light on the topside controller shuts off, I can hear a contactor release, but 240 stays going to the heating element. I tried a new temp sensor, and had no success. I followed recommendations online, disconnected the topside controller after reaching set point, and still no success. I can manually release one contactor, and 240w is eliminated from the heater, but 120w remains. Something is not telling the heater to turn off, and I am wondering what else I can look for. I would appreciate any feedback in this matter.
