  1. Our Prodigy H came with the house. I think it’s a 2011. Serial starts with H4N. It’s a 110v. It blew the breaker in the electrical control box. After reset, filter clean etc., jets don’t run when using Topside controls. Some of the buttons don’t operate. What part do I order to replace top controller? Eagle? Do I need any other part? See video. IMG_6677.MOV Jets will run if I bypass and give power so basically not getting power for some reason. Service tech said it was heater relay board and replaced. Also said was bad ozone sensor and disconnected. No change. Lost confidence in tech. I don’t have before pics and I don’t know what the heater relay looked like before. Heater 2 pin power jumpers were in positions 3/4 and 5/6 when diagram shows 5/6 and 6/7. Moved. No Change. Opened Topside control and looks like board got wet and is damaged. See pictures. Other symptoms Control Unplugged light is on Red. Bus Status light on Green. The wire to the No fault heater is cut and the wire from the pressure switch plug on board is spliced and is connected to the wire that goes to the flow switch.?? To determine what parts to buy, this is what I have. The main control box cover is a Q2020. The control board and the new heater relay are Item # 76082 Orca Control Box now obsolete. Main motherboard is definitely item # 78039 because the main top controls and auxiliary control plugs are phone jack connectors. New heater relay board is blue like an original item #76071 but when I look online that is obsolete and it says to use Item #77118. What top control replacement do I order? Is the heater relay board the right one or should it be #77118? If new heater relay is ok, is everything wired correctly on board and heater relay?
  2. Hi, I have a pool with an inground spa. The spa/pool is close to 40 years old and I believe I have a leak behind one of my Spa jets. The local pool repair companies won't touch the jets. I am hoping someone on this forum can help me identify the jets I have and or help me figure out how to remove them. Any advice is much appreciated.
  3. Hi, I was removing the jets from Dr Wellness G2 Tranquility series. To clean them. One of the smaller jets snapped. So I have the round silver and black top of the jet, but the rest of the jet is STUCK. I've tried everything I can think of to get it out. Are there special tools? Any suggestions for how to get it out? Or, is my only option to open up the hot tub, cut out the insulation, and remove and replace entire jet housing? Thank you Michele Also trying to find out part numbers for Dr Wellness g2 tranquility spa jets so I can order replacements. Called LPI and they were not helpful. Called Aqua Living store and they were not helpful either. Anyone know what I can use to replace my existing jets? Thanks.
  4. After fixing my problem with broken suction covers, I now have many jets not working in my 2008 H2X swim spa. Leaf debris, I suspect. Any tips on how to fix this?
  5. Dr Wellness Spa G2 Tranquility. Hi, I need to replace this insert or even replace the entire jet assembly body thing. Can anyone help identify this by part number, or point me to a replacement product. I believe this is called a "directional" jet. Thank you in advance. Michele
  6. I hope this is the right section for this. We have had a major problem with our spa jets for over a year and a half now. The pool/spa combo was built in 2008. I am a young adult child of my father who owns this pool along with my mother. I am a disabled dependent and this spa is what I utilize for physical therapy and pain relief, it is not just a simple tool of leisure. My father has always been horrible at maintenance. He never maintenanced our pool until summer 2019. He never changed the pool filters, never changed the heater (which finally busted a few months back and was leaking gas fumes all over the place), and he didn't get a new pump until the same time he changed the filters when it was chugging to its death. He was surprised to learn these things had life-spans and needed to be changed out, and of course never listened to me whenever I told him something was wrong with our pool. The jets had lost a lot of strength, reasonably, as our old pump started to die. However, when we got our new pump they were stronger than they had ever been. They were so strong you couldn't put your hand flat up against them and stop the flow of water when on high (3300 rpm). When the jets were like that it was extremely helpful to me as I have myofascial pain syndrome in my back and wake up filled with knots everyday. The jets being so strong got them out in no time. Just a couple weeks later though I noticed the jets seemed maybe 10% less strong. I use this spa everyday and can easily tell the most minute difference in jet strength. I'd say it went down to about maybe 25% less strength before my dad decided to clean the filters and see if that would help. They were very dirty and would get dirty very quickly now with this new pump. About as dirty in 2 weeks as they used to get in months (according to my father). For a while it was like that, the strength would go down, my dad would clean the filters, and the jets would return to pretty much full strength. Now, this far down the line the jets are at about 30% strength now, you can cover the jets with your hand so easily a baby could do it. Now my knots are extremely difficult to get out and take much longer and fewer get released. We had someone look at the jets and say the pressure was fine, which told me this guy had no clue what he was doing. He did this thing where he said he cleared out the jets by turning them on when the spa is empty or something like that (I'm not quite sure, I wasn't there), and he said that helped (it did not). He also said to use a degreaser on the filters which we have already done before. Something else to note, just before summer 2020 we had someone come to repair the solar panels for the pool. The guy who did that said when he popped open whichever pipe he needed to on a panel the water was trickling out, and he said it should've been shooting out, so there was some kind of problem going on. The pump pressure meanwhile read in a normal range. So, it isn't me making this up like my father says, a guy came and said there was an issue with the water pressure! My father says the jets are plenty strong for him, but he doesn't understand how important it is that they work how they are supposed to so I can get pain relief and gain mobility. He doesn't really care. Now, if anyone possibly knows what the issue is with our spa it would be a massive help. A spa should be in 100% working order all the time, I don't see how that is some crazy concept. This spa cost and continues to cost money and my father seems to not care that he's paying for something that barely works. He doesn't really use it so out of sight out of mind, but I don't have that luxury. Also, if anyone knows of a tool that can measure the rpm of the jets directly from the jets that would help a great deal too because I need a reading on that to show the jets are not at the pressure the pump is. Thanks.
  7. So we got our very first hot tub- a Hot Spot/Hot Springs Stride model. We have well water, so the common problem we have is metal in the water -even though I use a prefilter on the hose to refill- which of course turns yellowish/greenish when you use the MPS oxidizer to shock it... No big deal- I had a system worked out where whenever I top up the water, I put a new filter in the tub, add the well water, add the MPS, it turns yellow, but then with the filters running, it’s clear again by morning, I take the yucky filter out- clean it and replace it with a new filter. I have two filters I rotate out- one for the day after the refill and then the other right up until I refill. This has worked well, up until now... My child had a sleepover with 3 friends and these boys splashed quite a bit (!!) of water out, so the refill was much more water than the usual top up... as expected the water turned yellow/green after I put the oxidizer in; I did the same process I usually do, but the next day water looked unchanged! What shocked me was the filter didn’t look that dirty either- not like it usually does. I figured since it was so much water added, maybe it needed some help- added a half a bottle of Metal Gon and ran the filter 6hrs, then 6hrs overnight. Nothing really happened except I began to see lots of yellow/orange around the tub. Added the other half of the bottle and ran filters 6hrs in the morning and 6hrs overnight again. Checked the filter- it had some brownish runoff when I cleaned it, but not much and definitely not like the normal brown “muck.” It is now 3 days later, with running the filter on the 6hr/6hr setting, and not seeing any real progress. Water is clear, but the yellow/green color. Other metrics are in balance (alkalinity, pH, calcium and chlorine all check out) My question is, is it possible for the jets to be working (high and low settings both work- no gurgling or surging), but the filter to somehow have no suction? With how yucky the water looks but how relatively clean the filter looks, it’s almost like the water is just circulating around the tub, but not thru the filter. I have made sure the filter basket area is clear of debris and I can feel water coming out of the 2 small jets inside the filter housing area. ...or for some reason is the metal just not clumping together with the Metal Gon and filtering out this time? Not sure what else to try from here- don’t want to drain and refill since with the same water source I’d just be right back at this issue I fear.
  8. We have a 2200 gallon Hot tub that when the Jets are turned on for the first time after the circulation pump has been turned off and back on for whatever reason, it makes the water Milky for a short time. It is fine after that first start. We dump the water once a week and all chemicals are typically in the ideal range. What could be the cause of this? This has been a fairly recent development. We had to replace some laterals in the filter and change the sand but the issue with the Jets was occurring before that. Appreciate any and all help.
  9. Kids pushed Jet switch on and off multiple times. No longer works. Pushing switch does illuminate the switch panel and display the jets graphic on and off. The rest of the buttons work as well (temp up/down). No signs of burnt wires or areas on the circuit board. The Jet Pump does work...ran power directly to test. Appears as though the both the switch and the pump are working as they should. Assuming something with the circuit board. 1999 Tiger River Bengal M. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
  10. Hello, I picked up a used LA Spas HEET model and I've just wired it in and fired it up. When you turn it on you are supposed to set the desired temp first thing. I am not able to set the temp up or down, but the spa is heating. I turned it on about 4pm yesterday and its heated up to 100 by 6am this morning. Also the jet 3 button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if I have a bad topside controller, or if there are other issues.
  11. I picked up a 2004 Hot Spring Envoy that has sat a few years. After getting it moved, wired up a new 50amp gfci spa disconnect, I filled the spa and everything started up fine, all the jets worked and heater was going. The next morning it was warming up good, one jet pump quit working(you could hear a relay click), after it got to Temp(104), both pumps would not work, now when you press either jet button or the clean button, it throws the breaker. Any help you be great, thanks
  12. I have a spa that overflows into my pool. I noticed the jets suddenly were not pushing out much water, then my blower was not working. I replaced the blower, the new blower kept overheating. We narrowed it down to having some sort of blockage. We had rotorooter try and clear the line (way overpriced) then we used a gas pump and pulled the water back from the spa, hoping to dislodge anything, there was a small piece of plastic that came out. Then we pumped through the jets in hopes to push anything out. STILL, the blower is overheating and the jets seem very weak without the blower. ALSO the overflow into the pool is weak. I would think this means there is still something clogging behind the jets?? Is there a way to unscrew the jets? If so what tool? I have attached a picture of one of the jets. I think my next step would be to unscrew jets, if that dosn't work, drill a hole in the blower pipe to decrease back pressure but I would prefer to fix this right. I am just scare of breaking the plastic and creating more issues.
  13. I have a 2004 or 2005 Caldera Aquatic Melodies Elation Spa. 1. I have several jets that have lost parts (the center is gone out of a Euro Pulse jet, some small ball bearings came out of a VersaSsage Jet, etc. I cannot figure out how to remove the jets to replace or repair them. The videos I have seen show them being twisted counter-clockwise past the adjustment stop-point, then pull out, but these jets are all counter-sunk into the tub walls and there is no way to get a good grip on them to turn them hard enough.... is there a tool that is specifically for this, or am I going to have to rig up an oil filter wrench or something to do it? 2. There are 2 pumps, Pump #1 has 1 speed, and pump #2 has 2 speeds, pump 1 will turn off and on every now and then... there doesn't seem to be any method to it's behavior, we may use the spa for a week without it ever going off, then it will start doing it every day... it will turn off for about 2 minutes, then run anywhere from 2-20 mintues before turning off again. Is it perhaps overheating? Pump #2 makes a noise on high speed, as if it is churning air through it every 2 seconds or so... it seems to pump well, and there is no noticeable change to the pressure when it is "whirring and grinding". Any assistance on these issues would be appreciated!
  14. hi i have a 2005 t-300 softub. works great. the gaskets all need to be replaced on the jets. first question... do i have to buy the gaskets from a softub dealer? second question.... can i put in the newer jets in a 2005?
  15. How does one remove the Jet Face (#2 in diagram)???? Directions say… Remove the jet by grasping the jet faceplate and pulling it away from the spa shell. With jet in hand, two o-rings should be on the rear portion of the faceplate. If either o-ring is not present, inspect the inside of the front wallfitting and remove the missing o-ring. To reinstall the jet, reverse steps 1 to 3.Important: Make sure that the o-rings are properly seated. It rotates cw and ccw and comes to a dead stop, but it won't pull out. I tried prying it off with a plastic panel remover with no luck. I have a leak there and need to remove the body to make a clean repair. I also want to change-out all the o-rings in this 20 yr old tub. 1998 Hot Spring/Tiger River Bengal® Model M
  16. I have a 2003 Prodigy whose jets just started turning on by themselves, but then shut off. Since heater does not run when jets are on on this model, temp drops. I have not observed whe/why this happens but note the green light not on and it’s clear jets were on. Switch panel short (condensation in the display)? Help!
  17. I bought a 199? tot tub, don't know the manufacturer. I had a broken air control valve, and replaced both. Some of the Waterway, screw in jets were not putting out air. I placed a shop vac, set to discharge, over the air control, and air did come out of all the jets attached to that manifold. I removed some of the jets to clean. They adjusted hard, but were not stuck ,or clogged, with no missing o-rings. I put them back into the housing, and no air. I removed the air line from the manifold, and still no air to the jet. Looking at one of the jets on the other manifold that was working properly, I turned the jet on and off, no air flow. Will a jet wear-out, and not provide the necessary suction? Around the eye of the jets, there is about 1/8' clearance where I can see to the back of the jet. Is it normal to have water in the airlines when the air control is closed? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
  18. Hi all! New to this forum and to being a hot tub owner. We purchased a home that had a 2015 Hot Springs Flair left behind. Filled it up through the filter but the jets aren't working so I'm wondering if there is an air lock. When filling it up through the filter I didn't hold the hose in, I let it hold itself so I'm curious if I should've held it in while filling it to apply direct pressure. is there a bleeder valve on this model? The heater seems to be working and so do the LED lights. We are getting champagne bubbles and when trying to get the jets to work it kicks on like it's trying to. Please excuse use my ignorance. Very new to all of this! Thanks!
  19. I have a Tiger River Spa, the Sumatran N model. Recently, the water went cold, and I could not get it to heat. After following threads and discussions in this site and others, I tested and was able to determine that the heater was bad. At that point, everything else in the spa worked, and no circuits had been tripped. Jets ran, control board worked, main circuit board green light and red light both lit. The failed heater was a Watkins No Fault 6000 with the following information on the sticker on the bottom of the unit: 240V6000W, THJ01, SET-DO-OH-CO, 11113, 240328, 36(8?)10 REV K. The replacement heater, as recommended by Watkin's, is a Watkins PDR Titatium 1.5KW/6KW - model #73790. I drained the tub, replaced the heater, and then refilled the tub with the filter removed and the hose in the filter housing tube to reduce the chance of air locks. I then replaced the filter, turned the power back on, and purged the pumps by turning the jets on and off. Everything appeared to work properly. I then added a bottle of the enzyme mix from Carefree Spa, called Le Natural Spa, which I have used for the last 6-8 months. Per instructions, I removed the filter, and added the solution to the filter housing. The instructions then called for me to circulate the spa for 15 minutes. I turned on the jets, and went about cleaning up. After about five minutes, the jets stopped. The jets "on" icon was still visible on the read out on the control board, but no jets operation. I tried to turn the jets off and then on, but to no avail. I checked the circuit board and no circuits had been tripped. I then cut the power to the spa at the circuit board, and let it sit for 30 minutes or so. When I powered it back up, but the jets would still not kick in. Instead, there was a clicking sound from the circuit boards, and I noticed that when I first pushed the jets button, a small green light would light at the very top of the smaller relay board, and then it would click and the very small green led light went out and the small red led light next to it would come on. Previously this had been a constant green. I tried turning off the heater at the circuit board, to see if the jets would then work with the heater out of the mix. That did not work. It was getting late, so I let the tub heat overnight. The heater brought the water temp to the set temperature during the night. In the morning, I went out and tried the jets again, and they came on, but once again after a few minutes they shut down. I have powered the spa down from the main circuit box and let sit for 30 minutes before powering up again, to no avail. At this point, all I get is the above described clicks and shift from the small green to red led on the top of the smaller relay board. I also tried inserting the hose with water turn on high into the filter housing tube to remove any air locks. Any ideas anyone?
  20. Hi all, I'm new to hot tub ownership, so please bear with me. I'm living in the UK, and have recently been sold a hot tub by a family member; It's a Watkins Hot Spot RLX, and I believe is approx 12 years old (maybe older?). Was planning to buy one new in a couple of years, but we couldn't say no for the price we paid. It will certainly do for the time being. We transported the hot tub to my home, and located it in the back garden. Gave it a good clean up, and filled it ready for use. It warmed up nicely, and the pump is a little bit on the noisy side, but nothing we can't live with for now (I believe it's been refurbished once during the tub's lifetime). The tub has 4x directional "hydromassage" jets (all missing the screw-in nozzles, which I have on order), and 6x "precision" jets. I've noticed that the 4x large jets flow water fine, but don't create any bubbles - are they supposed to? Also, out of the 6x precision jets, only 2 seem to flow any water, some of them trickle a bit, but mostly feel completely blocked. The 2 that do shoot water, only create bubbles now and again, and I find that to get them started, you have to cover 3 or 4 of the others up. Even when they are producing bubbles, one only does half the amount as the other. Adjusting the "Jet Comfort Control Lever" does turn them on & off, but they don't work as expected. I've had a read up on a few sites & searched for a solution, and thought I'd have a try with some "Swirl Away"... I gave the hot tub just over an hour running, and actually used a full bottle (half at first, and the rest after 30 mins), but it hasn't made any difference. A little bit of stuff came out, and the water was very smelly when we emptied it, but it didn't go brown or foamy like I've seen on photos and videos. The hot tub was re-filled as per the instructions, and there doesn't seem to be any air lock. The filter is nice & clean, and the jets still don't bubble correctly. Is there anything else I can try myself before calling out an engineer to come look at it? Is it worth trying to clear out the pipes using some pipe cleaner rods? Or is it more likely that the jets are actually in need or replacing? I did also try taking off the check valve to see if that made a difference, and it didn't. Please help! Thanks, Stu
  21. Hi everyone: I am doing research like I do on everything and think I have narrowed it down to 2 manufactures. Caldera & Marquis They both seem like higher end brands and I am trying to find what the real differences are performance wise quality of pump, jets, maintenance and insulation since I live in New England. One thing that stands out is the Marquis in made in the USA, but they seems more expensive? I work in the manufacturing industry and appreciate products made here. If there is anyone out there that has some pros and cons of the 2 brands it would be greatly appreciated. I will wet test both at the end of the day but I tend to focus on how things are built and perform. I also wanted to mention this purchase is more for therapy than leisure. I do have achy knees and shoulders so if one has better aspects in that department it would be good to know. I am also looking at a cost of 8 to 10k. Thank you for any advise.
  22. I am new to this forum and I have been doing as much research as i can.(about 3 months) to research therapeutic hot tubs, it does not work so well. I go to the gym 5 days a week and know that a good tub will help by body repair. At this point I am leaning towards Caldera Makena. I definitely want a lounger but really want enough quality jets to hit my whole body. As more of you experienced ones out there know, more jets are not necessarily better. There are a lot of manufactures and styles out there is is very tough to choose. I am an engineer so i will research a lot. Any input is helpful! The new guy!
  23. Please help. I have a spa crest hot tub. We have recently replaced the circ pump, and entire balboa box with circuit board and heating element etc. Circ pump is 24 hour continuous but kicks off when jets 1 is turned on causing dry and overheat error codes. The circ pump will continue to run simultaneously with jets 2. Im at the end of my troubleshooting skills. Any advice will be much appreciated!
  24. Hello. I've got an older CalSpa 2000 and it runs well during the summer, heating to 100+ degrees as needed, but the outdoor temps tended to be from 75-95 degrees. It appeared to heat well simply by having the cover on, but I noticed if I had the temp set to 100, it would drop to mid-90s even during the summer. The pump would run constantly and the heat light would never come on unless I turned the pump to high speed with the "jets" button and that only lasts about 15 minutes each time. So, I'd have to wait around and hit the jets button every so often to get it to (and keep it at) the desired temperature. During this last winter (I'm in Michigan), I could not get it to heat above 78 degrees, even while "activating" the heat with the jets on. My thought is it should heat to temperature regardless of whether the jets are on high or not. I'm not getting any errors codes and it's certainly never overheated. Underheating is my issue. How can I fix this? Thanks.
  25. I have a Royal Spa Royalty II and it uses air switches. Just recently, when I push in the button to turn my jets on they come on for a split second and then turn off. I cut power to the tub and took out the air switch and tested it. I can see the air switch clicking as I press the button and can't see any potential damage. Any ideas as to what what would cause this?
