  1. So I recently got my hot tub going, it has a gecko s class spa pack on it paired with a hydroquip k9 topside. The issue I’m having is it only runs and heats for 20 minutes and I have to go back out and turn it on. I’ve set the duration of the cycle but when I hold down the pump button it only brings up a “56Y” reading. I’m not sure how else to program that display It’s also worth mentioning that I had replaced the old two speed pump with a one speed, could it be because I didn’t adjust the jumpers?
  2. Folks, Have a 2002 Maquis spa, with a 1 (of 2) new pumps and a new heater. Wired myself. Ran fine for several months, now that it's winter, seems to consistently be tripping the supply (not the GFI cut-out box) CB. Have some milder weather, so testing again, but what is reasonable to expect? In "standby mode", with only the one pump on low and the heater on is when this is happening. Is this a hot tub problem, or an electrical problem? Seems to run fine, even with all pumps on, for about 10 mins, then trips the CB. Thanks!! Z
  3. Are there any reputable hot tub companies that sell spa over-runs, truly discounted, or used hot tubs in the North West part of Florida? My 10 year old hot tub finally passed on to the "hot tub heaven in the sky", and I'm having trouble wanting to spend $12,000+ on a new one. NOTE: I'm 6' 2" so almost no hut tub has deep enough seats for me. The only one I"ve found so far is the lounge seat only (not the other seats) in Caldera Spas's Geneva hot tub. I'm interested in the Bullfrog Spa line due to the swappable jets, but have only sat in one hot tub, and of course the seat height was to low. So my two questions are: Reasonable driving distance to look at deeply discounted hot tubs that are at least 89" X89" (seat at least 6-8) (Drive time from my area of Florida to Tallahassee is; 3 hours, Mobile, AL; 1 hour, Birmingham, AL; 4 hours, Gulfport, MS; 2 hours Bullfrog Spas; Reviews only from actual users. 4. I recently went to a spa. Oh it was like heaven when I got to be in one of the hot water tubs with message. After going there for three times I asked them from where they bought it and they told me they got it from the long lasting lasting custom swimming pools makers in Boston.
  5. Hi everyone, I am new to the forums here as I am awaiting my first hot tub to be delivered. I have some questions/concerns I would like to address, as I am totally new to this hot tub ordeal. I have never owned a hot tub, or a pool. been in them before, but that's about it. We just purchased a smaller 220 to 250 gallon hot tun from Aqua Rest Spas - Model number AR-600. I am not sure exactly how many gallons it will hold, as the official site says 220 but the home depot site we ordered it from says 250. Either way, this is the official link to the spa we have ordered: http://aquarestspas.com/spa-showroom/x600-2/ We are currently in the middle of remodeling projects where we plan on putting the tub on the new deck outside. Question 1: With the new deck not having any kind of a roof over it, and the area where the tub will be placed gets a lot of sun during the summer ( 6 to 9 hours a day depending), is there anything special i should do for the cover? I keep seeing topics of conditioning the cover, and a product called 303 formula pops up a lot. Question 2: My contractor offered to run a hot water spicket to the deck for the new tub. We have a tank-less hot water system. As I read up a bit on this, I am second guessing this option. I am reading that you should only use general tap water with a garden hose, and allow the tun to heat it up. Is this accurate? Question 3: I have heard a story or two about mice getting into the tubs from time to time. Is this a regular thing? And if so, what precautions can we do to prevent it? Question 4: Is anyone on here familiar with 'Simple Blue" products for the spa treatment? We have a local pool store called Pool Mart, They will do a free water test for us, and yesterday they suggested the Simple blue treatment system. They said it was a once a week treatment, and the regular customers to the store are repeated buyers of it. It's not a chlorine or Bromine treatment i guess. It has minerals and what not in it, and the require calcium hardness to use it effectively is aboce 300ppm. They have a whole line of products that go with this system. I don't know much about water treatment, so again, this is all new to me. We do have well water with a culligan water treatment system on it. If anyone has any general tips or suggestions for a new spa owner such as myself, please feel free to share. With this being a good sized investment, I would like to maintain this as best as possible! Thanks in advance for any replies!
