  1. I have developed a leak in my Hotspot TX triangle spa. I noticed the water levels dropping dramatically. So I went to investigate and found water dripping from the bottom of the spa skirting. So using that drip as a locator I removed the glued on skirting and the insulation inside to find wet insulation and staining from water. I removed all the insulation and noticed a fracture or crack and water stains in what looks to be a union or splice piece of PVC right before the tubing makes the turn to the foot massager jet. (Photos attached) I am looking for recommendations on a durable repair/replace method. I didn't know if you could just silicone the crack or maybe use some amalgamating wrap or waterproof tape or if it needs to be replaced completely? If replacement is necessary how would be the best way to go about that? Thanks for any help.
  2. Hello. I have a hotspot sx. I was wondering if someone that has one could post pictures of the plumbing behind the access panel. Mainly on the left hand side. I bought mine used and only half the jets are working, When I look inside I find there is a hose that is cut and capped. I am thinking someone was in there and did a quick fix to make it work but not a proper one. Any information would be helpful as I cannot find a plumbing schematic anywhere..
  3. I am getting the watch dog 4 dashes. It is actually getting to hot. Up around 125 When it’s set at 102 i have replaced the High limit thermistor, the pressure Switch, and the topside control panel. I didn’t realize it was actually getting to hot. I also used the system flush and drained it and rebalanced the chemicals. The filter is about 6 months old and clean. is there a thermostat in these units? I haven’t seen anything for parts that I could replace other then the heater. thanks!
  4. Hi, I have a hot spot mallorca. I was in for a long time last night, more than an hour. Suddenly the spa power went out. The fuse (on the spa's outdoor outlet) had popped. I got out and turned the fuse back on, the display panel lit up, I hit the jet button and the fuse popped again immediately. I tried again today, same result. I opened the service panel today, no apparent problem, nothing was wet in there. Does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone? Does a hot tub have an internal fuse that may burn out and cause this? Thanks!
  5. Hello Everyone, I have been reading around the forums and learning a lot but still have some trouble. I am looking into getting a open style tub with no lounge. I like the idea of a 7ft or larger tub that is at least 36 inch deep. I am 6'4 and need the extra space. The other people that will be getting in the tub are also tall. I am running into problems trying to figure out what model to pick, the cleaning of the water and getting the most bang for my buck. The two places I have here locally are Hot Spring and Jacuzzi. Both look great but I am not sure what one to go with and what is better with each model. I am not that concerned about how many jets there are or the type of jets. I normally turn off the jets or set them on a very low setting when in a tub. Here is the ones I am looking at so far: Hot Springs Hot Spot Rhythm - $6k Hot Springs Limelight Pulse - $10k Jacuzzi J-345 - $7500 Jacuzzi J-385 - $9k I like the idea of the ACE system for the Pulse but is it worth the extra money now and when I need to update it? I could also do without this and I hear you can get the water to a super clean level using silver ion? I would like to avoid high use the chemicals to avoid skin irritation. Will the Rhythm keep the water as clean as the Pulse or the Jacuzzi tubs? I see the Jacuzzi tubs have a system called ClearRay. How does this compare to the Hot Spring filtration? How is the build quality of each? Any help you can give between Hot Spring and Jacuzzi will really help. Thanks!
  6. My wife and I want to buy a new hot tub with plenty of jet power for therapeutic purposes. I've got an old injury where I really need the jet to needle in behind my shoulder-blade for a deep-tissue massage. Many of the spas we've wet-tested just don't get deep enough. Our Hot Springs dealer suggested the Hot Spot Tempo which has two 2.5HP Continuous (5.2 breakdown) pumps. We haven't wet-tested yet. Any other suggestions on tubs with lots of power? (We're more value-oriented than a bells-and-whistles oriented.) Would I get a more powerful tub out of the Hot Springs line as opposed to the Hot Spot line? Thanks so much for your input. First time on the forum, but I've been peeking at the posts for a year.
  7. I'm trying to decide between a Hot Spot Rhythm and a Nordic Encore Premium with insulation upgrade. I need something that will weather well thru New England winters, not cost too much to run, seat 6. I noticed that the Nordic has these decorative strips around the jets and wonder if they are uncomfortable to lean against; I can't wet test the Nordic in my area. Thanks for your feedback.
  8. I have an older model Hot Spot Model Z (round) serial z140554. The motor is a wave master 3000. and all the parts are stock except some wiring has been replaced over the years as it has degraded. The breaker on the front pops whenever the heating cycle runs for approximately 2.5-3 minutes. According to the wire diagram I have it should only draw nine for the heater coil and 2.5 or so for the pump on low. Any ideas as to why this is happening or solutions. Also the GFCI is not grounded, not sure if this would matter, the ground from outside connects to the box and to the ground from the motor. Thanks
