  1. Has anyone ever made their own cover? I'm thinking about using some double stacked 2" foam and luan, wrapped in a UV coated Vinyl. All the websites I've seen are outrageously priced, and I can't seem to find anyone in Louisville KY under $1000. Any good sites for this sort of thing? Any help is appreciated
  2. Here's the background: I have a 2009 Sundance Certa 780, wired for 240V/60A which was purchased used in 2014 from a reputable shop with one year warranty, which is of course now expired. We’ve used it on average five nights a week since professional installation for 20 to 40 minutes per soak (I don’t know if that is considered a little or a lot, but I miss it already). I have no idea how much use it saw with the first owner, but it was in very good visual condition. Symptoms: The water no longer heats up. Heater light illuminates on the panel as expected. Both pumps work as expected.
  3. I have a friend that I cannot convince to have my company install her pool. She is buying a pool kit online, and after having looked at it, I think it will probably be all right and I intend to help as much as possible. Are there any members here that can help me with probably some really stupid questions on pool construction? It's going to be a rectangle 6R 16x32 48" walls with 8ft deep end. I guess my first question would be...where can I find some good instructional videos? My primary initial concerns are leveling the walls and installing the main drains. thanks in advance and sorry
  4. Hello. My name is Erik Martin and I'm working on a new story for The Costco Connection (the consumer magazine for members of Costco stores) on the following topic: DIVING IN (WITHOUT TAKING A BATH): How to save money on maintaining and closing your pool this season: tips on the best supplies to switch to, routine care and upkeep practices that can prevent costly repairs, and why pool owners should learn to close a pool themselves, and how to do it, to save hundreds of dollars a year. For this story, I’m looking to interview homeowners who own and maintain their own pools. I can either conduc
  5. I'm looking for information for a potential new television show. I was wondering if there was anyone on this forum who might know somebody who's built their own outrageous pool - or maybe you did so yourself? Whether the results were amazing or ridiculous, I want to know about your outrageous pool. Please share your experience.
