  1. I'm hoping I can get some help Its my job to take care of a brand new 2018 Hotspring Sovereign for a friend. Its was installed about 6 weeks ago and only used 3 times by my friend. Here is the problem the logo light will flash red after 3 to 4 hours. The hot top dealer had me clean the filters there's 3 , that didn't work after a few hours it started blinking red, then they had me take the filters out all together and run the tub still after a few hours the light is red and every time it goes red i have to reset the main breaker. They have had there service team out 3 times to correct the problem with no luck today they are coming again. Does anyone have any idear. Thank's Denny
  2. I have an old Polaris 180 which didn't seem to picking up as much of the leaves, etc. at the bottom of the pool as it usually did. For the first time I followed the backwashing instructions as best I could and I see a tremendous improvement. The manual only says: "...occasionally flush out the Polaris..." so I would like to know how often I should backwash it. Also, exactly what is the backwashing process doing since only water should be traveling through the interior of the unit? Thank you.
  3. It's finally time for me to update my inground pool. At 17 years of age, the liner was still the original (RIP - literally). I wanted to fill the thing in, but my wife feels it could be a thing of beauty once again. I lost the battle. My conditions for keeping the pool included spending money on a robotic bottom/side cleaner, and a robotic solar surface skimmer. I also got a Pentair SuperFlow VS pump and a Hayward saltwater chlorinator. Keeping my Sta-rite filter and heater. I know I won't be maintenance free - but as close as you can get in Pennsylvania with lots of trees and shrubs around the pool. To my topical question, has anybody had experience with the Solar Breeze NX? It seems like it should be a valuable unit for a pool with lots of surrounding vegetation, pollen, pine needles, and periodic mammal carcasses. Every year I have issues with pine needles getting into the pump impeller and I'm really sick of ripping it apart, not to mention frequent filter wahing. My goal here is to reduce the amount of cleaning. Evidently, you let it charge daily with its own built-in solar cells and let it run. I have a committed order with the company for one but wanted any input you folks might have. The website of the company is https://solar-breeze.com/. Te thing is pretty expensive, but COULD be worth it if it works. Thanks ahead of time from a new member
  4. Hi there, I am a final year university student looking to design a mid-range surface cleaner that will automatically collect the leaves from the surface of outside private (above and in-ground) swimming pools before they can block the skimmer baskets. I am collecting information from pool users/cleaners, and would really appreciate a few moments you can take to fill out one of my short questionnaires (10 questions or less): If you are a private outdoor pool owner, or live in a residential community with an outdoor swimming pool, please access the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CTZRRCG If you work or have worked in the swimming pool maintenance industry, please access the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/J98P2R3 Many thanks in advance!
