  1. Hi, I was removing the jets from Dr Wellness G2 Tranquility series. To clean them. One of the smaller jets snapped. So I have the round silver and black top of the jet, but the rest of the jet is STUCK. I've tried everything I can think of to get it out. Are there special tools? Any suggestions for how to get it out? Or, is my only option to open up the hot tub, cut out the insulation, and remove and replace entire jet housing? Thank you Michele Also trying to find out part numbers for Dr Wellness g2 tranquility spa jets so I can order replacements. Called LPI and they were not helpful. Called Aqua Living store and they were not helpful either. Anyone know what I can use to replace my existing jets? Thanks.
  2. Dr Wellness Spa G2 Tranquility. Hi, I need to replace this insert or even replace the entire jet assembly body thing. Can anyone help identify this by part number, or point me to a replacement product. I believe this is called a "directional" jet. Thank you in advance. Michele
  3. Hi! A couple days ago we noticed these three small bits floating in the hot tub. (I attached a bunch of pictures) We did some investigating and it looks as though the light cap just under the moto massage has broken. I think it was a clean break because the top and the threading barrel fits together perfectly (I was thinking about using gorilla glue to repair it?) We’ve been trying to track down the parts (found 2 online that look similar) and find a reliable vendor to replace it. Unfortunately we are just out of warranty and the local spa repairman wants to send a bunch a people out to flip our tub on it’s side and replace it for $300-I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable about that and it seems excessive -considering I was able to access and find the location without all that labor. I think we can replace this ourselves and just order the light cap and screw it in? Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated -thanks so much!
  4. Hi All, We've had this issue for awhile now with several repair shops coming out to try and figure out the issue, all without resolve. See the GIF here to see the outcome of (what I think) the electrical short. The tub was at 56 degrees yesterday at 9AM and was heating mostly all day until it reached 102 degrees around 7PM. I thought it was a heater issue or maybe the pump, but now I'm not so sure. The breaker connected to the hot tub does NOT trip when this happens, and I'm unable to turn on the jets or lights. Around 11PM, the hot tub started to cycle by turning the pumps on then off, and became quicker. When I arrived at the tub, the control panel looked like the GIF above. I'm starting to think that the control panel itself is shorting when water is able to soak in around the edges. Any ideas? Thank you, Todd
  5. I have a Hot Springs spa - we had too many people in it over the weekend, and the water level dropped a lot. We filled it up by putting the hose in the water and now there is a blinking red light and the jets won’t work. Any ideas on how to fix it? Is it something i can do myself? Will leaving it for a day fix it? Thanks in advance
  6. Last night the water temperature sensor broke on my Pentair intelliTouch equipment. The spa temperature was really about 60 degrees but the temp would jump to 109, 77, 104, 90... I had a group of people over and really needed to get the spa to heat. The problem was that every time the temp sensor sent a value > 104 the heater would shut off. I ordered a new temp sensor on Amazon for $25, but wanted to get the spa to heat just one more time. After watching the youTube video on how to replace the temp sensor, it occurred to me that if just swapped the air temp and water temp inputs then the air temp (a constant 65 degrees) would always report a low value and the heater would stay on. So I opened up the control panel, removed the two screws holding the top section in place, folded down the top panel, and used a small screwdriver to loosen the connectors on the right side, holding both the water an air temp sensor wires. After swapping the two sensor inputs I closed up the panel and the heater worked. Of course I then needed to reduce the max temp setting on the heater to 102 since otherwise it would have heated to 104. After figuring this out I also found other blog posts suggesting the same quick fix, but none had originally come up on my search and none had enough details to help my feeble brain figure this out quickly, so I figured I would re-post a detailed description and more tags...
  7. I have a Hayward cartridge filter with four cartridges. The top closure plate (manifold) is broken in two places along the flat part around the part that fits inside the cartridge. It seems to still fit ok, but I've started having a problem with brown silt at the bottom of my pool and cloudy water. I've replaced the cartridges and used Pool First Aid, and ran the filter overnight. This seemed to clear things up for a day, but the cloudiness and bottom silt have returned. Chlorine and pH levels are normal. Is it likely that the problem is, in fact, that I just need to replace the top closure plate? I've ordered one just in case. I run my pump 8 hours a day, and am also wondering if it might help to run it 10 hours. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!
