Good evening all, After scouring the internet for some information I found this forum. Several weeks of reading through older posts and learning a lot I thought I could post looking for more specific information. I have a 2015 Masterspas Swimspa where one of the pumps went causing the breaker to flip and the water to freeze, the damage was one section of PVC. I’m in the process of repairing and upgrading it and hope to accomplish a reliable swim spa for my family to enjoy that runs on propane and uses salt water instead of chlorine due to a skin sensitivity shared with my wife and kids. I reached out to the manufacturer who said the spa cannot be converted to salt water but wasn’t able to give any specific reasons. I would guess it’s harder on components and would void the warranty? my ultimate goal is to run the spa through a exchanger and connect it to the wood boiler (part of an on going 40x60 barn build, the high efficiency boiler will heat the house and barn). But in the mean time I’d love to convert it to propane (which would be used in the summers as well) . One option I found is the Pentair Master temp, which is still vastly oversized for a 2,000gal tub. Another option, I see one post where someone uses a 75k btu DHW with an exchanger for their spa setup with favorable results. any help would Be greatly appreciated.

I have lost faith in our pool store staff. Our hydro pool swimspa has always been maintained using Bromine but not very well I must admit. It is very difficult to keep the Bromine levels up. We run the swimspa at 84 degrees in the summer, 104 degrees in the winter and in the spring and fall we usually run around 70 degrees. I completely drain and and refill two to three times a year. The swimspa gets full sun for a good 10hours a day for the spring and summer months. We have a hard top that we use if the outside temp is dropping significantly overnight or if there is rain in the forecast otherwise I use a solar blanket on the swimspa when it is not in use. Given the higher temperatures and sun exposure, should I switch over to BBB with with Bromine? I'm making an assumption that I need to maintain my chemical levels as per your guideines using the appropriate amount of chemicals for our 4100 gallon swimspa. I would appreciate your advice before I drain and start things up again this season. Be well. I haven't included and chem levels because I'll be starting from scratch.
