  1. So I have a 2022 SX hot tub. Recently hurricane Ian really devastated the entire area and my hot tub was quite affected. I was able to restore the pump, clean the tub, fix the heater, and last thing is the board itself. I cleaned it super well, used so isopropyl alcohol to clean the dirty bits of it, there is definitely some rusting and stuff but I've definitely seen boards in way worse condition work before. My question ultimately is, is there anyway to troubleshoot the issues with the board? I'm running power to it, jumpers are properly configured, and I get absolutely nothing even showing it's trying to power up. I'm running 120v 20a, the GFCI doesn't trip it just stays on but nothing powers on the board. I have experience with soldering and testing with meters but not much. Is there anyone here with that kind of experience that could help me identify where the issue is originating from?
  2. My Coast Spa is nothing but trouble. Today's issue is that the system is reporting that the Heater is Too Hot. But the system has been in rest mode and low temperature and the water is cold. The B sensor was reporting hot so I replaced that sensor. After which both sensors seem nominal and in sync. Shortly thereafter the A sensor reports hot. Then the B sensor reports hot. So neither stable nor in sync. I have unplugged the sensors and rebooted. But the system is rebooting to a Heater Too Hot status. I suspect now a logic board issue (which would be my 4th board in 6 years). Thoughts or suggestions? And now it will not poser up even to the Heater Too Hot status. Instead, all LEDs blink.
  3. I just went to use my Jacuzzi J345 and it wouldn't turn on. The breaker was tripped so I turned it back on, and I noticed a slight burning smell. I turned off the breaker and opend the cotrol box to find the wires burnt. What could have caused this? A loose connection? I had my entire electric panel upgraded/replaced about 4 months ago. I presume they did not touch the spa. They did reuse the 60 amp breaker in the new panel. Everything has been working fine since then. This seems not related, but could they have messed something up?
  4. Hi there I have a old siberien tiger 2003 ish based in uk. Everthing has stoped, control panel has no lights on no pumps going heater of etc. I have power to first circuit board with 2 push in relays. The jump cable from this has power in it to large circuit board. Is the fault likely to be the relays in the first board. I've taken them out (relays) and they click when power is put to them. No visible hot marks anywhere. If this makes sense any help would be appreciated John
  5. Heya! Heat stopped working on Sun dance Spa from '95, popped open the board to find some melted wires/board. Had been using it for the past 6 months no problem, a few GFCI trips that had no explanation. Breaker panel at house is good so I assume when I hooked it up I didnt tighten the nuts/screws enough and with enough use they became loose and arcing occurred? I have been checking and this is about as much information I can make a guess out of, any ideas on what went wrong and how to prevent in future if i replace the board? two pics here, looks like hot coming in was melted and hot going out in addition to the bar above it https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_ufuQrYu9zISTIyTkYydXBMbXVsREJJelVmZzFONlljazB3 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_ufuQrYu9zIOFRUNVk1ZlFrVzV4SEhrVkRMa2x3N1l0N29Z Thanks
  6. Tiger River Spa by Hot Springs (serial M-130143). SO, I've had this maintenance-heavy spa a while--and after changing out the relays a couple times over the years, and finding a new main board that was still available for this old spa I decided to change it out. I replaced the top controller board as well. Now the spa comes on when plugged in and immediately the GFCI shuts it down, but only when the main pump or thermostat is turned up. Disconnecting the heater and main pump alleviates the shut down (so I guess I'll be looking for moisture and ground faults in my heater and pump)---but Also, the circ pump shuts off after running for 30 seconds--even when I jump the flow switch on the main board! Now what?? It's a brand new board?!?!? Why might this 30 second shutdown be happening?
  7. Hello, I have a 1999 Sundance optima Spa. i recently bought a SpaCuzn Core insert from the manufacturer. Long story short, it was the incorrect size, and got sucked in the intake. The pump shut down. I shut the breaker off immediately. We drained the tub and retrieved the filter inset and put the tub back together. At the time of the incident, the pump was only 7 months old. Afterwards, the pump felt like it had diminished flow, but was working on both a low and a high speed. About a month later, the pump stopped working all together. We drained the tub once again, and after taking pump apart, we discovered that in the process of the insert getting sucked into the intake, it broke part of the plastic filter housing and that small piece of plastic also got sucked into the impeller and had been rolling around in there this whole time. We just replaced the pump with a brand new one. We were excited to get back up and running, but are having having the same problem - we push the button on the panel and it shows both 1 and 2 speed, we hear a click and the pump does not turn on. So, draining the tub again and are in search whatever part we need. Any ideas?? Thank you!
  8. Hey Everyone, First off I'd like to start by saying I'm a new member on this forum and also a new hot tub owner as of last week. So here's the situation, a friend of ours gave us her old hot tub which is a 2001 Sundance Caprio. We got the hot tub home, hooked up the power, and filled it up. Everything seemed to be working fine, the jets were running the control panel lit up and there were no errors. I put the cover on and came out a few hours later to find that the temperature had only gone up a degree or two and the jets had been on most of that time. My first thoughts were that the heater must be broken so I hooked the heater up the control panels power directly and it heated up almost instantly so I ruled out that. When inside the control box I noticed that the connection to the circuit board where the heater was coming out was black and fried. I then went online and purchased a new circuit board which will be her in a few days. Another concern I have is that I'm not sure how the circulation pump works, I can definitely here it humming but I'm not sure if it's actually running or not. The circulation pump definitely gets really hot and even heats up the water lines coming out of it. I don't see any water coming out on the inside of the hot tub, is there a dedicated jet or is it the big round thing on the side my the feet thats about 4-5 inches in diameter and has a bunch of tiny holes in it? Or maybe the pressure just isn't enough to be visible from the surface of the hot tub. Also, would the circulation pump still operate even if the heater wasn't working? Sorry, I know I have a lot of questions I just don't want to put a $250 circuit board in and then have it fry because something else was messed up originally. I've read a lot of forums and topics based on the Sundance Caprio and it seems this is a common problem for the circuit board to go after 10+ years. Thanks for any help or insight anyone could give into my situation.
  9. My tub is having intermittent issues heating, would call for heat and the heat light would come on, but the heater would only come on very sporadically. This is my board: http://www.spaandpoolsource.com/lx10-spa-builders-circuit-board-sundance.aspx I started tracing the 240V with my meter and followed one line to a relay and on to the heater - this one was working fine. I traced the other line into 2 relays in series. The voltage was going through the first relay correctly and then never made it to the output of the second relay. So I pulled the wire off and bypassed the second relay and sure enough heater is working perfect now. I tested this setup and the heater is cycling fine with the thermostat and I even pulled off a wire from the flow sensor and that also turned off the heater correctly. Am I risking anything running like this? Not sure if the second relay was shot or whatever sensor that was connected to it was shot. Maybe hi heat sensor??? All opinions welcomed.
  10. I am needing to buy a new circuit board for a 2011 Sundance Marin 880 series. Does anyone know the part number?
  11. Hello! I own a 2003 Master Spas Legend Series with 4 pumps (1 circ, 3 jet). Pump 3 (Therapy 3) will not run. I have done some troubleshooting and I have determined it is not the topside control (when it is on standby mode and I push therapy 3, it wakes the spa up but won't turn on the pump) and I know the pump works FOR SURE. Now for the circ pump- It won't run when Therapy 1 is on, but when its off, it works fine. I have no idea what is going on. Thank you! -5k
  12. Our Caldera Spa isn't working after getting hit by a power surge. My husband checked the circuit board and fuses, and the fuses are fine but the spa still isn't working. We see a red light on the circuit board now. He is ordering a new circuit board. Does it seem that it is a circuit board problem? We recently put in a new circuit board and two new pumps. I hope it's not the pumps. Help!
  13. Hello all, this is my first post to this forum. Have a bit of a problem. My wife and I have a 2005 Hot Springs Prodigy (Model H) hot tub that has been working great for almost 2 years. Recently I started hearing a clicking noise coming from within the components compartment. At the same time our tub wasn't hot anymore, but only warm. The circulation pump and jets were working fine at that time. I opened the IQ2020 panel and heard the clicking coming from the heater board. I noticed that the white heater wire also was darkened, like it had shorted out and fried the wire & board. I did some testing with a multimeter and found that the black & white leads on the heater board weren't giving any volts. This heater board was the original 73355 board. Finding there was a newer heater board (74618), I ordered that and just received it yesterday. I installed the new board (old board had a burned circuit on backside) and hooked up all the wires as directed by the instructions. This included using the same white wire from the heater that was darkened, but I had cut the old connectors off. I got everything installed and in place, turned on the circ pump breaker and then the heater breaker, but unfortunately there is still a clicking noise... the same as before. The really bad thing now is that where the jets were working before I changed the heater board, now when I turn on the jets there is just a click and now the jets do not come on at all. This circ pump also is not pushing bubbles up. FYI - I did fill the tub before all of this through the ozone standpipe filter to ensure there wouldn't be any airlocks. Also, during all the testing I did not have any filters on. On the main circuit board, the LIM OK light is on and green and the HEATER ON light is also on and red. When I used the multimeter and tested voltage on the new heater board, I'm getting about 130v (where I was getting 0 on old board). When I tested the white and black wires coming from the heater, I am getting a sound from the multimeter. I'm at wits end with this... the heater is a Watkins No Fault. I'm not sure if a bad heater would cause all this, but as I mentioned earlier, the HEATER ON light is on and red, which I think means the tub is getting a good signal from the heater and thinks it's heating, but I could be wrong. Does anyone have any ideas of other things to try? My issues are: 1) the clicking noise when the heater breaker is turned on 2) the circ pump and jets are no longer working (multimeter is not getting any signal when tested on the main circuit board - I'm no genius on how to test circuits/electricity, but I will definitely test anything anyone has ideas on). Thank you for your time in reading this and any help you can provide.
