  1. Hello all, OK, I have learned (mostly from reading on here) that the control unplugged light is coming on after the system power cycles, at that point no display and red blinking power light. I would love to test for this error, but not sure if there is a way...? Local tech wants me to purchase new IQ and top panel... is this my only option? Thanks, grateful to have found this forum! Lee _____________________________________________________ I purchased this tub used, but in good shape always keep in a porch since purchased new. I knew it had a bad value (behind the main controller) which was leaking, got the value replaced and no more leak. However, removing and reinstalling the main controller has caused the top side control to come on, it displays 8888, power light is solid red, for 30 secs or so then I hear a click and display goes blank, and red power light goes to blinking red. The cir pump is working and moving water. I kept a sm heater in the cabinet for a few weeks and have done the power test a few times with no change (because its winter and I saw this could be an issue). I am wondering if we missed a jumper, or something as everything "was" working. Tech says buy a new top side and controller, a lot of money. I want to be sure its actually broke... help...
  2. Hello, I have a Tiger River Spa Siberian Model L that recently started leaking from the drain valve. I was taking off the service panel door and the corner hit the drain pipe (I didn't think it hit that hard...) and it started a pretty solid leak (I'd estimate a gallon a minute). Only the tip of the drain pipe sticks out from the housing, as you can see in the attached picture, and from what I saw the leak is further back where you can't get to or see. I'm actually looking to sell this hot tub, but obviously I don't want to sell this to someone with this leak. Is this something that I could fix myself, or do I need to hire a professional for this? If so, what would something like that cost and what would it entail? The hot tub came with the house, so I'm not even sure how old it is, but judging from what years this model was made it seems to be 15-20 years old. Given that, what price should I be selling this hot tub for? Before I decided to sell it, I bought a new cover for $600 since the old one was waterlogged, and I was also planning to give the buyer all the chemicals, test strips, spare filters and the water pump I have since I won't need it without the tub. Is $1000 a good price?
  3. My hot tub heater is leaking on one side of it on both pipes. What would anyone suggest to seal it or fix it. Do I need a new heater?
  4. I have a Tiger River Spa, Bengal Model M that won't heat. The red heater LED light inside the IQ2020 panel is on constant. After reading some forums, I tried the following which did not fix the issue: removed the filter, disconnected the power for 10 minutes, pressed the reset switch on the no fault 6000 heater, ran the circulation pump for 10 minutes. I turned off the power, disconnected the wires from leads going to the heater, and tested the OHM reading...it read 9.6 ohms. I turned the power back on (with the heater wires disconnected) and tested for voltage reading on the leads..read 0 volts. I tested the voltage for the power to the spa control system's circuit board (IQ2020) and it read about 240volts (if I remember the reading correctly). Based on reading other forums, I think this is telling me the heater relay board is bad and needs to be replaced. If that is the case, how can I tell which heater relay part I need to order (part numbers??), so I can look up where I can buy online (any suggestions would be appreciated). Thanks a bunch! Kevin
