I need help! I've stumped multiple hot tub "experts" with this problem and am driving myself crazy! My hot tub will not hold chlorine, no matter what I do. After putting in the proper amount of chlorine and getting a proper reading (between 3-5ppm free chlorine), within one hour, the reading is back down to zero (for both free chlorine and total chlorine). Here are details on my levels, equipment and usage: Hot tub is always covered except when in use. (outdoor tub) I regularly use shock, typically right after every use. I've tried both chlorine and non-chlorine shock.
I am new to this forum but hope to find some answers. Im in the market for a new spa. Narrowed it down to Artesian Antigua, master spa twilight 7.2 & Coast Apex curve. I’m leaning toward Artesian. anyways, as with all spas you can add sanitization systems as options. Are they really needed? Do I need an Ozonator?
Hi Guys, Are there any changes required to the Hot Tub/Spa sanitizing regime to deal with blood/menstrual fluid? I am using bromine to sanitize with a weekly shock. My wife is concerned that using the tub during her period would contaminate the water and require extensive remediation. I think that a properly sanitized tub (4-6 ppm Bromine) would take care of any blood that 'leaked'. Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else, I could not find an answer. Thank you
