  1. I have an old Hot Springs Sovereign (IQ2000) that we had a tech come out and diagnosed a faulty heater (had electrified water) and a cord that had no GFCI. Upon replacing the heater and cord, the tub worked fine but would trip the GFCI after about 20min or so with jets on, other than that no issues. Now I have a flashing red light and I can't do anything with the tub. I called the same repair place and they said I needed thermisters, I ordered those and installed myself as it was easy, and I ohmed out the old ones and new ones (I don't think that was my problem). I now still have a red light flash, my circ pump has good bubbles and flow, and I have pulled filters and tried that. I have also tried cracking the hose by the circ pump and opening both my drain lines. Not sure where else to go other than pulling the heater they installed and seeing if it has debris, as I don't want to replace the board in such an old tub. Where should I go next? If it's a bad board is there anyway around that? Any advice is highly appreciated!
  2. I tried powering off the spa, but that didn't help. I removed the filters, also no change. Lim OK LED flashes rapidly accompanied by clicking relay, then Control Disconnected LED flashes, then stops. This repeats endlessly. I measured the voltage on the white wire leading from the Relay Board to the Control Board. It has 127 v. I disconnected the ozonator, circulation pump, and both main pumps from the board, but the same behavior (clicking and flashing) occurs. I measured the resistance of the recirculation pump and it was 40.8 ohms. The clicking appears to be coming from one of the relays behind the metal bar, but I am a bit nervous about trying to touch them because they are close to real power. I also checked the recirculation pump fuse and it is good. I could not detect any power going to the recirculation pump. I suspect that the main board is bad. I have attached a picture of the control board below. I don't see any obvious signs of damage. Is there anything else that I could try? Thanks in Advance!
  3. Hello all! First time poster but long time follower. Recently had a power outage and when power resumed, I noticed my hot tub started dropping temp even though all signs pointed to go. Turns put relay board was fried..not sure if it was a coincidence but regardless I replaced it (IQ2020) and hooked everything up exactly the same (minus the obvious changes in the new 2 relay board vs the old 3). D9 flashes repeatedly. Figured new board was bad (my luck) so replaced again..same thing. The only way I can get D9 to stop flashing is taking off the jumped pressure switch (replaced heater a few years ago and had to be jumped permanently due to new model). Obviously now I'm getting the flashing red and green lights on the display because I took the pressure jump off. Question is..could my jump be "bad"? I ordered an actual replacement jump (as opposed to the current crossed wires and tape method) but I'm not even sure that will fix the problem because I can't find anything on the WWW about bad jumps, just bad pressure switches in general. Thanks in advance for any advice!
  4. To any of you spa experts, Both the 20A GFCI & 30A GFCI on my Hot Springs Sovereign have lost their Self Test features. The breakers both still work, i.e. they are providing power to the tub, bot the self test button isn't functional on either. The heat in the tub seems to fluctuate between 78' to 88'. The heat problem hasn't been diagnosed, and I am wondering if the reason the self test on the breakers went out is related to the heat problem, and which problem came first? Any thoughts on this? Thanks
