So this winter I came home to a blown out fitting on the pipe to/thru the heater (left side coming into heater box). I believe it was due to an "OH" error (which I've seen before & shuts the jacuzzi down) which shut the heater down, water froze, black clamp fitting busted, water drained out. So yesterday I replaced the fitting, filled it & it fired up as normal, circulated & all seemed fine. BUT, the water never heated up. I checked all wires & fittings. So does this seems like a heater issue? I can easily find the heater & replace myself, but I'm not 100% sure that's the most likely issue. Thoughts? Thanks!

I got a used hot springs prodigy H from someone. I finished hooking it up yesterday and filled it through the filter housing with a hose. It ran perfectly fine, heated, jets all ran fine. I put system flush in to clean out the jets since it had been sitting. I then drained the water out. When I refilled it, I thought it would be smart to siphon water through a hose from my pool so it would start out clean, I did put it into the filter housing, but slow flow with the siphon. When I powered up the spa again, you could hear the spa start up then it stopped and the control panel red light started flashing and nothing was operative anymore. I turned the power off overnight, took the gray standpipe out, put a hose down in the hole and covered with a rag around the hose, turned the hose on and it forced a big air bubble out the bottom return and I let that water run for about 30 seconds. Put pipe and filter back in and turned on power and it still blinks red, now it doesn't even sound like it tries anything, it will start blinking within 5-10 seconds. I don't think my heater has a reset button, I couldn't find it anyway. Any ideas? -
I am writing to ask for help. We own an Aspen Hot Tub with Balboa parts. (M7 2000 parts) Our nightmare started about 6 weeks ago when we noticed our tub was not running right. It started to continuously cycle through the start-up mode like it was possessed. It could never move beyond 3 minutes post-prime. We were told that the Balboa M7 board was malfunctioning. We had 2 options . . . replace it or have it repaired. We opted to have it repaired. We sent it to a guy in Arizona who reported back to us that a 5v regulator was bad. He said he replaced it AND tested the rest of the board, which was fine. After getting the board back, we installed it into our tub. It certainly did not do what it did before sending it out for the board repair, but now it started blinking OHH approx. 30 seconds after PR. Folks, the tub was 70 degrees!! We emptied the tub, cleaned it, re-filled it, burped it, removed all airlocks, and the same thing! We replaced both heat sensors AND the heating element. It worked yesterday all day and heated totally normal and then this morning, it is back to flashing OHH immediately after the start-up codes with no PR mode. For a while, it would run when I would disconnect the heater from the circuit board, but that trick doesn’t work anymore. Now it just blinks OHH and the water is 75 degrees. Does anyone know what we can do? I have attached the work form from the guy in Arizona that says he fixed our circuit board so that people can see what he did.

I have a 2007 Cal Cooperage 103 with a Balboa 165 controller (VSP-165-CCAH). The heater is 58083. 240V system. Spa is not heating. No error codes. Heating light on top panel comes on. 120V at Heater 1 and Heater 2 terminals in STD vs ground. I didn't check resistance, but will do tomorrow if needed. Wondering if this is enough info to diagnose a faulty heating element. Thanks for advice!
