I have a Rainbow 320 in line chlorinator. It already has a check valve incorporated in the bottom of it. Pool guy told me today I should have another check valve installed in the plumbing line between the chlorinator and heater to ensure chemicals do not flow into heater. After thinking about it it struck me as odd since he installed the heater to begin with and did not mention it at the time of install. Is the Rainbow 320 built in check valve sufficient or is a secondary check valve warranted? Have not had any issues with heater in 2 years since install. Thanks for your input.

i have a new 12ft diameter outdoor pool, just bought a solar cover for it. However, I'd like to use a chlorinator as i've been told they're good at keeping the levels just right. can a chlorinator be anchored down in the middle of the pool (a bit like a bouy) so it doesn't touch the solar cover. If the filter is on and the water is moving, then i can't see the problem.

Hi guys, My name is Alan, I'm from the suburbs of Sydney, Australia and own an inground pool of about 60,000 litres. Before summer last year, our chlorine and acid mixing box gave up wanting to work for me so I was adding the chemical by hand and that was no fun at all and nowhere near accurate enough so we had ups and downs all summer! So after talking to a few other pool owners we know, we where told that converting to salt water would be alot less work and easier to maintain so I've just installed a Zodiac Tri (mid) chloring generator! I've just about got the pool ready to have the salt added, but im really unsure of what setting i should have the control box set to? In the manual it states the required levels i'll need but doesnt explain what setting to have the chlorine generation at?? If anyone has one of these generators it would be awesome to hear from you and get some tips on what to set mine to!!!!!! Cheers, Alan.
