  1. Whenever I turn on my jets my hot tub ends up looking like a bubble bath full of fizzy foam. Not just a little bit either, I'd probably be ok with that, but it ends up getting like 4 to 5 inches thick across the entire surface. If I turn off the jets, the foam starts to go away and after about 5 to 10 minutes the water is back to being crystal clear with no foam at all. I've done some reading and have tried a few things, but all to no avail. The only thing I haven't done is a drain and refill only because I just did it about a month ago and don't want to have to do it again so soon. I don't think my well pump can handle draining and refilling this thing every month. We use it about 2 times a week, or less, and its usually just 2 people. My water test results are below. All the levels seem ok to me, but there's gotta be something I'm missing. I'll also use Leisure Time 'Enzyme' and 'Bright & Clear' sometimes, as needed. Please take a look and let me know if you have any ideas...thanks! Hardness - 280 ppm pH - 7.7 TA - 90 ppm TDS - 590 ppm Sanitizer (MPS) - within 'OK' range
  2. I am having trouble identifying the source of air bubbles in my spa. All air valves are off, and there are no bubbles when the pump #1 diverter is in either position, nor are there bubbles when pump#2 diverter is in the B position. The air valves all work as they should. However, when I move #2 diverter to the A position, bubbles mix in with the flow out of the footwell jets (where are should not be coming out at any time) I have replaced both diverter valves, and there does not seem to be a leak anywhere. Any thoughts on where I should look for a source of air intrusion into the flow for this one diverter position? Thanks! Jim
  3. This must be my day for problems! Just posted a question in the hot tub section and now this.... I accidentally left my Hayward sand filter on in the closed position overnight and it blew the main pipe leading to the pump which then pumped the pool water out to below the skimmer. After finding this and this, I reattached the hose, refilled the pool, then returned the sand filter to the "filter" position the next morning. Since then, I am hearing guggling sounds under the multi-port valve, and the filter basked has loads of bubbles when pumping. The pump primed properly after reattaching and changing to "filter". So, I don't know if I have blown the spider gasket or what. I can't find any air leaks either. Any suggestions?
  4. We are staying at a friends house. My daughter innocently dumped in a bottle of bubbles, you know the kind that kids blow bubbles with? I don't know much about hot tubs but I do know that the bubble solution should not have been put into it. How can I clean and if necessary repair the hot tub before I leave? I should say that my friends are not around. They are allowing us to stay at their place during their vacation. While they will be understanding, I would rather have the problem fixed before they return. Please help!
  5. Hi all, I see a lot of posts on the forum about ways to reduce foaming due to lotions coming off skin, detergent coming off bathing suits etc. but was wondering what could be used (and if safe to use) a product that will create copious amounts of foam? I have a 2001 Sovereign Hot Spring spa pool. Just seems like it would be fun on some occasions to add a safe product to the water to make lots of foam.
