  1. Hey guys, So I have a had a bit of a lengthy project. I have a used inifinity spas hot tub (balboa z-series spa pack) with two motors in it, and one of the motors starting getting super loud consistently, low or high speed. I opted to replace the motor because it's around 10 years old and there was a lot of corrosion. During replacement of the motor, I came across a loose cable in my GFCI breaker box that caused the motor relay 30A fuse to fry on the spa pack. So I repaired the loose wire, replaced the 30A fuse, and replaced the motor. We made lots of progress, as the motor now turns on low speed properly; however, when attempting to change that motor to high speed, it buzzes loudly then shuts off. Using a multimeter, I determined that it's a voltage overload, as testing the low speed with common at the motor is 240v (as it should be) when jets are set to low speed, and the high speed wire with common is 0v, which is also good. However, when I set the jets to high speed, the low-speed wire is still 240v with the common, and the high-speed with common is ALSO 240v, so they're both feeding power simultaneously. It seems like the relay isn't turning off the low-speed wire when it turns on the high. Does anyone have any suggestion or thought? Thank you!
  2. Kids pushed Jet switch on and off multiple times. No longer works. Pushing switch does illuminate the switch panel and display the jets graphic on and off. The rest of the buttons work as well (temp up/down). No signs of burnt wires or areas on the circuit board. The Jet Pump does work...ran power directly to test. Appears as though the both the switch and the pump are working as they should. Assuming something with the circuit board. 1999 Tiger River Bengal M. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
  3. I have a pretty old (1998) California Cooperage tub, Model 105. Replaced the pump and heater last year and all was working perfect, up until a couple weeks ago. The filter cycle, which normally runs for 3 hours every 12 hours, has been cycling ON and OFF constantly during that 3 hour period... For example, during the 3 hour filter cycle, the pump (and sometimes the heater) will run for only about 2 minutes, then will shut off for about 20 minutes. This happens constantly throughout the 3 hour period. I initially though it was the pump overheating, but it does not get hot and there are no error codes. Also, if I manually turn on the pump, high or low, with the control panel, it runs totally fine for as long as I want it to. It has no problem maintaining the set temp throughout the day either. Could it be a circuit board issue? I believe its the original board still...Thanks in advance!
  4. Old Morgan Spa I replaced the 50745 board with a new M3 retro fit 52518 board along with a new topside controller-51058. I have 2 motors- 2 speed motors 1- blower No ozonator 1. On the new board I pulled the J10 jumper 2. J7 is on "A" side 3. J25 is on 60Hz There is a flashing FLO code along with COOL. I have tested the continuity of the pressure switch while the pumps are on and it is closed and open when the pumps are off. Pump 1 is running on low speed and high speed when press pump 1. When pressed third time the 2nd pump does not turn on. The 2nd pump does not come on at all now. The old board does not have a relay on pump 2 if this matters. When press clock(time)- blower comes on???? Press blower button-(bottom right) something clicks on board but blower does not turn on. I feel I am missing something. Any suggestions?
  5. Well, as the title of the topic states, the circuit board in my Sundance Spa Sentry 800 burst into flames and is beyond repair. The hot tub had been turned off for around two years or so when it had stopped working for no reason. I had winterized it well and thought id try to fix the problem myself this year. i had a feeling it was a fuse problem so I went to radioshack and purchased replacement fuses for the circuit board making sure that they were lower amp so that the equipment would not be damaged and were ceramic as they had been before. i popped in the new fuses and hit the breaker. Miraculously everything began working like it had before. a few hours later i had the hot tub filled and the pump and heater were just fine. after the hot tub had heated up a bit i thought i would make sure that the jets were still working. about 20 seconds after the jets had started the hot tub shut down. I thought it might have been a fuse as i had put a 1 amp fuse where a 1.25 amp fuse was needed, as well as an 5 amp where an 8 amp was asked for. After shutting off the power i went to the panel inside the hot tub to find smoke bellowing out of it. upon looking inside there were huge black burn marks all over the circuit board, some with exposed copper. oddly, I'm not so sure it had anything to do with the fuses i put in because the burn marks were not on the fuses or contact points for the fuse. I just ordered a new board and want to make sure that my $400.00 investment won't be for nothing and that the new board will not fry like the old one. the board that burned out was a 6600-014 and the board i am replacing it with is the same, a 6600-014 Spa Circuit Board for Sundance® Spas any ideas?? Thanks Again,
