  1. Long-time lurker here; I've found many posts here pretty helpful in diagnosing/repairing previous issues. Current issue is a 2003 Tiger River Bengal M that has a non-op jetpump. I get a "jets icon" whenever I turn on the jets or run a clean cycle as well as a red light on D17 on the board. Unfortunately, jet pump (WaveMaster 7000) doesn't respond... not even a hum, so I'm ruling out a bad cap. Motor spins freely too when turned with a wrench. All other items connected to the board work just fine and have 120V across the terminals. I checked voltage across the flag terminals on the jet pump with it turned on and I get between 4.2-5.1V. Is it possible that a relay has gone out? I looked around the board for burn marks or other charred remnants and everything looks clean. The board is from 2003, so I'm certain it's getting ready to retire. I just replaced the heater control board last year after one of the relays burned a huge hole in the board. Any ideas on what resistance I should be seeing on the relays? I'm getting ready to run out and get some alligator clips to test them. Thanks in advance for any advice you have!
  2. Hi there! We recently bought a house that came with a 14-year-old Tiger River Spa Bengal that appeared to be in excellent condition. It was set to 97 and the system panel showed "READY". And putting my hand in the water, the water did feel heated. I never had a hot tub before so I went to a local Hot Springs Spas dealer and they gave me a great run down of what I had to do. First step was draining and refilling. I shut down the power and drained it and removed the filter etc. I refilled the tub through the filter compartment. Once that was done, I put the filter back in and fired up the power. Control panel, jets, light came on fine but the heater didn't seem to kick in. The water remained at 78 even after hours of waiting. So I start googling. I tried removing the filter. I rebooted a few times. I removed the panelling and checked under the hood. There was a "Heater Reset Switch". I punched it and I did feel a click. I thought I figured it out but alas, the heater still wouldn't kick in. The switch didn't trip, though. I'm unable to reset it again at this point. Anyway, I opened up the box containing the board. Something called a "D9" is blinking RED. A "D10" is solid green. "LIM OK" is solid green. And "HTR ON" is solid red. I kinda assume that that guy means "heater on" and should be solid green... I took some photos: https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0gGVfZ2vG3CaDy I have a service guy come on Tuesday, but I'd love to fix it myself and cancel the appointment. The question is, can I fix it myself or does this require some advanced skills. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
  3. Kids pushed Jet switch on and off multiple times. No longer works. Pushing switch does illuminate the switch panel and display the jets graphic on and off. The rest of the buttons work as well (temp up/down). No signs of burnt wires or areas on the circuit board. The Jet Pump does work...ran power directly to test. Appears as though the both the switch and the pump are working as they should. Assuming something with the circuit board. 1999 Tiger River Bengal M. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
  4. Hello; I have a older Tiger River Bengal model M that will not heat. I bought 2nd hand. I have replaced the heater, circ pump and heater relay board. I have thoroughly cleaned the filter as well as removed possible air locks. The heater is a no fault 6KW so there is no pressure switch (fuse in panel). When I take control panel cover off, htr on is lit red, and lim light is green. There was an ozonator that was installed, but currently not hooked up. I have water flowing into spa as I can see the water moving, however there are no bubbles. If I disconnect hose from circ pump and plug circ pump with my thumb to pressurize, when I reconnect I will get bubbles for 1-2 seconds. Not sure what additional steps to take?
  5. I have the same Problem going on in the same spa, Who can help me? It has been 2 years since Mike left his reply... It's a Tiger River "Bengal" series and it leaking from the Right front corner "Right of control panel" of the spa from the bottom right corner and coming from a screen. I looked in the front panel and everything is dry as well as the right side panel. I also took off the corner trim and dry in there. I used a mirror to look under the corner and water appears to be coming from a little white tube about 1/2 inch in diameter from under the screen.. this model id from around 2004ish

  8. I've obtained (free) a 2002 Tiger River Bengal, 115 v Spa. 1st problem is jets only pulse when “Jets” button is pushed. Previous owner thought heater wasn’t working either. The LIM LED (green) is on. Heater has been set down to 80 so it doesn’t come on. When the heat is turned up after ~a minute SPA shuts off. When “Jets” button is pushed LED D18 flashes and the motor tries to get the jets going. You can hear the relays switching. I’ve bled air from lines, can hear motor running, can see shaft turning, can't tell if impeller is turning. The “comfort control system,” smart jet lever is turned to 3 o’clock. Water pulses out of “comfort control system” area. I’ve tried turning lever to other locations, it turns easily, though not sure it is actually moving. The Spa had been empty and unplugged for a couple years. Pretty sure I’ve got, at least 2 issues to resolve, Jets & heater.
  9. I have a Tiger River Spa, Bengal Model M that won't heat. The red heater LED light inside the IQ2020 panel is on constant. After reading some forums, I tried the following which did not fix the issue: removed the filter, disconnected the power for 10 minutes, pressed the reset switch on the no fault 6000 heater, ran the circulation pump for 10 minutes. I turned off the power, disconnected the wires from leads going to the heater, and tested the OHM reading...it read 9.6 ohms. I turned the power back on (with the heater wires disconnected) and tested for voltage reading on the leads..read 0 volts. I tested the voltage for the power to the spa control system's circuit board (IQ2020) and it read about 240volts (if I remember the reading correctly). Based on reading other forums, I think this is telling me the heater relay board is bad and needs to be replaced. If that is the case, how can I tell which heater relay part I need to order (part numbers??), so I can look up where I can buy online (any suggestions would be appreciated). Thanks a bunch! Kevin
