  1. I am setting up an artic spa bandit GP manufacture date 03/11. Onzen system. Just filled it up not too long ago for the first time after being out of service for many years. Currently the pH is high (~8) and salt is a little high (3000ppm) and I working on brining them both down by diluting and pH down chemical. After 48 hours I have no sign of free chlorine and I am concerned the onzen system isn't working. I have seen bubbles/smoke from the anode, but I want to confirm by running a sanitizer production test as outlined in the onzen technical manuals (attached). Problem is the menus for my tub seem different. I can't get to the screen to show sett - it only flips through FF and FD... I assume because I have any older version. I have FF set to 4 (highest possible setting) and FD set to 2 (highest possible setting). Any insights are helpful - thanks very much! Onzen-Manual.pdf
  2. Hey everyone I got a tripping breaker, I disconnect all my input cables from the panel and start testing the motherboard, I found out that the motherboard has continuity between line 1 and neutral on the input terminal block, to me this is a shorted out motherboard am I correct?
  3. I have a sorry leaking Coleman Horizon 400 from the mid nineties. I have patched a couple minor and major leaks but I am done with it. I am looking at a bunch of spas right now. I am shooting for $6000-$8000 after negotiations. I am not interested in sound or lights. I am not really concerned with having a bunch of jets. It will be in the snow outdoor so insulation is very important to me. After working so long on a full foam I kind of have PTSD about it but I also want efficiency. I don't want a lounge. On my short list right now is... Cal Spa EC-735B in the mid $6k North Winds (Coast Spa sub brand) Freedom XL in the mid $7k Jacuzzi J-LX in the Low $9k Arctic Spas Midsun with Mylovac in the mid $8k Anyway, I'd love some advice on these if you've got any. The top 3 are all floor models.
  4. I have a 2006 Artic Spa. The touch pad is displaying Too Hot. We have replaced the HL probe, the temp probe and the motherboard. Any other ideas what could be giving us this code? Called spa store, never heard of a display reading Too Hot. Can turn pumps on manually, but will not fire up when turning off main power and turning back on.
  5. Hey Guys, we have an Artic Spa Hot Tub with the Forever Floor. I was under the impression that the Forever Floor was 100 % sealed and there are no drains either in-sight... or out-of-sight (i.e under the tub). We currently have an issue with a leak in our tub and there is water on the floor around one side (outside) of the tub. As part of the original install the electrician did drill a hole to run power... but its as tight as it could be... and is not on the corner where I see the water leaking out. The dealers tech came out last night and he was adamant that there is a "drain" hole on the Forever Floor... albeit out-of-sight. He was a nice guy but I simply don't believe him (maybe I should)... He did troubleshoot the issue (at 8pm in the pitch dark) and said he found the leak. I have no reason to believe that he didn't find the leak... but that doesn't explain the water outside the tub. Long story short is that I bought a Hot Tub.. Arctic Spa ... for 11 grand. That is a lot of money for me and I was sure I was buying the best... and the best support crew too. So... lets start with the Forever Floor.... 100 % sealed or not? TIA
