  1. Just wondering if anyone else ownes an arctic spa baffin 45. I cant find any thing about them online anywhere. Just wanted to compare experiences with someone who owns the same tub to see if they have run into the same problems as me. Namely, the jets powered by pump 1 being very under powered. Pump 1 shutting down occasionally. And filter bypass valve breaking. Thanks, Josh.
  2. Hello all! A new hot tub owner here. We bought an Arctic Spa Tundra Spa Boy system as a floor model deal. We had to get the Eco Pack replaced because Spa Boy didn't work. So our water got pretty ugly. Adding the fact that I never maintained water before, so a huge learning curve for me. The day we got the tub, I started filling it with well water. But about 1/4 way up, the water was a dark grey color. I decided to drain it and put city water in. There was black stuff on the bottom of the tub. The install guy said that dirt will be cleaned up by the filter system. Now after a little more than a month, I got my water under control. But my water still has a light green tint to it. Yesterday I saw some black stuff on the bottom, the water was still. So I went in, cleaned it up. And I think it's metal flakes from the well water. Could this be causing our water to be green? Thanks! Rudy
  3. My first post, so go easy on me! I recently bought a house with an Arctic Spas Arctic Fox hot tub (about 2 years old). I changed the water and replaced the long cylindrical white filter accessed on top opposite the control panel, but I was wondering if this model has any other filters, either accessible from above or by removing a side panel down below? I searched the forum but couldn't find any info on it. Cheers Simon
  4. Hi everyone, long time no visit.... I've had two babies since I was last here... anyway, you were a great resource before I hope so again. I was doing the fall clean out of the tub, and while unscrewing the jets, I was shocked to find 100% failure of the small 3" jets .... a small plastic disk in the back of each one had either fallen out, or stuck in the jet. I"ll try to attch some photos. Any ideas? I was asked to switch over all my jets in 2008 to this new screw in kind.... I was shocked 100%? what are the chances?
  5. I am in the process of designing a larger deck for my house in Mammoth Lakes, and want to incorporate a recessed or semi-recessed spa. I need a spa that can handle high altitude, extreme cold and lots of snow in winter. I want a spa that retains heat well, and I was looking at Arctic. However, I found another brand that uses a similar heat retaining design that is much, much cheaper with more bells and whistles. The problem is, I cannot find any reference to this brand on this forum, nor any customer reviews online. The warranty and service guarantee is spectacular. I can afford a Covana and a bigger spa/more bells and whistles for the cost of an Arctic. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this brand. This is what I am looking at: https://www.integrit...oBay%5FTV%5FSPA They only sell online and offer free shipping. Almost sounds too good to be true. I know. Don't say it. Opinions? Suggestions?
