  1. I have a 2012 Hotspring Sovereign. My double Moto massage jets has stopped going up and down, and I have narrowed the problem down to the air flow in the moto massage compartment. No air comes out of the nozzle in the Moto Massage compartment. I have already gone through the following steps: -Changed the Moto Massage jets ( vertebrae tubes) -Changed the air hose with manifold - Turned all control valves in different directions -Cleaned filters (Tri-X) - Run the jets with filters off for a couple of minutes -Checked the air inlet in the service compartment All other jets works fine and are stable Any suggestions from you?? 2. When my pump is on low speed, the filter creates a weak vortex/whirpool above the weir/basket; on high speed, the vortex/whirlpool makes it through the weir all the way down to the basket, causing the filter and pump to take in small amounts of air. I've confirmed there is no debris in the basket and no debris in the filter or weir. Weir is being sucked all the way down properly. When I remove the weir, the vortex is still there, but again, not strong enough for it to reach the bottom/to put air into the system. I've ensured my water level is correct based on the manufacturers instructions + this was tested when I was in the spa so the water was even higher (it happens regardless of whether nobody is in, 1 person is in, or 2+ people are in). It's almost like the weir is designed to narrowly and/or the filter is sucking too hard. I've tested it with opening/closing every air valve and jet in different ways with no success. Filter is from factory. Tub is 2 weeks old. I've emailed the manufacturer. Has anyone heard of this before? It's noisy and I highly doubt adding air down the filter into the pump is doing any good. I can't simply remove the weir, as it clips in and holds the basket + filter in place when the pump is not on. Temporarily I can do this when the pump is on high speed, but that's beside the point. Again, the water level is sufficient. My friend has the exact same hot tub and his does not do this.
  3. I am having trouble identifying the source of air bubbles in my spa. All air valves are off, and there are no bubbles when the pump #1 diverter is in either position, nor are there bubbles when pump#2 diverter is in the B position. The air valves all work as they should. However, when I move #2 diverter to the A position, bubbles mix in with the flow out of the footwell jets (where are should not be coming out at any time) I have replaced both diverter valves, and there does not seem to be a leak anywhere. Any thoughts on where I should look for a source of air intrusion into the flow for this one diverter position? Thanks! Jim
  4. Retooling '91 tub. Replacing pump and topside control & the spa pack: Balboa VS510SZ PN 54371HC3 . Would like to re-use older (2003), occasionally used, 110v air blower. Looks like electrical diagram shows only one blower plug and its rated 240v. Is it possible to use 3 and if so which 3 of the 4 (AMP-4?) plug in holes on the board or do I need to buy new blower? Thanks
  5. Hi i have a jacuzzi like this (attachment). now after not using it last winter, i filled it with water, placed the filter back, first of all a lot of junk came from it , the jacuzzi seems to be working fine (blower), only it's not heating, i also don't hear it start heating after setting the temperature The filter is clean, and also there is a small waterfall on the left (near the guys knees). also there is no water coming from that.either (the fountain is connected to the massage function). thanks! for anyone that can help
  6. A few weeks ago we noticed the pool level of our spa (we have one of those pool/spa combos where the spa flows into the pool) was going down alot every day. We called a company we were referred by a friend. The guy came out and after inspecting the filter system, etc he said the o-rings were bad and replaced them. Once he replaced them, the spa water level has been perfect. HOWEVER, I have noticed that NOW the pool water level has been going down alot more than normal, I would guess almost 3/4 - 1 " a day. I have checked the pool pump basket and when the filter is running it looks to me like there is no water circulating in there. I have called the company back in the hope that they can come out and check their work, they want to charge me again to come out. They are certain that my problem is now a leak which required me to use another company. Re. pump basket, he is telling me that water is circulating in there but it is almost not visible? When I switch off the filter, I do see wate rgush too the top so perhaps water is flowing? I have noticed that the ring (not sure what this is as he replaced the rings where the valves are that required removinga number of screws) in the pool basket is loose and each time I open the basket, the ring falls off the top part that I twist to take off. Not sure if that could be a problem. Any advice would be appreciated We are in Sarasota, FL Gary
